![]() ( 1 ) After leaving the teleportation chamber, you are gently coaxed out of the hospital and encouraged to find a place to stay. Maybe you've had time to check out your A5 app. Maybe you're just settling in. It's cloudy, overcast, cold -- you'll want to seek out someplace warm. Also, your device is beeping. A lot. The tech on the island works, it just doesn't work right. You can't seem to send a message to the correct person. It's time for... Texts From Last Universe( 2 ) What's this? Your bingo card has just been beamed to a stranger's inbox...?! ( sample A5 cards -- NSFW, may contain triggering content, please feel free to use/ignore as you see fit) ( 3 ) And now you're receiving messages from other users that they don't remember sending: Nice shirt. It would look better on my floor. 10/10 would ride it into the sunset. This user thinks you're attractive. u up? 🍆 ( 4 ) Once you figure out that the robots have been hacking your devices, it's no easy feat to track one down and demand they stop. "So The Augur wills!" they wail in a monotone. "So it is done!" Any attempt to actually contact The Augur and get back into the hospital will be met with beefy robot bodyguards, who suggest taking a gentler approach to fix your devices. If you know what they mean. Wink. (This is your overt kink prompt. Please label any threads accordingly.) Note: All prompts are optional. The theme for this TDM is "malfunctioning devices." They can be fixed by indulging in the squares on your cards. For the sake of the TDM, you can use one of the pre-generated examples or a wildcard from the kink list. This can be used as a free bingo square completion once you have been accepted into the game. Players are welcome to wildcard their own TDM prompts; we only ask that you try to stick to the theme. [ ooc; definitely up for duplicity crau, just let me know in the subject! i'm also up for wildcard shenanigans - if you want your character to land themselves in some kind of trouble and need a spidey to help bail them out, gwen can be there. or if you want to try a different kind of texting prompt, i'll basically roll with anything you toss my way. i'm also up for text threads moving to action, if that's where it goes. pm me if you'd like to make plans first. ]

oddly enough the first thing on my agenda after my arrival wasn't "make a list of sex things to save for a rainy day".
also i'm pretty sure sexting isn't just sending a list of sexy keywords with no context.
and if it is that's... super lazy.
[ things gwen hasn't even halfway attempted before: sexting ]

He's ignoring that for the time being. Mostly he's focused on searching for familiar faces among the similarly displaced strangers, and so far he's come up empty. Obviously there's no way he would remember every single face, but he spent enough time in one place to have learned a lot of them, even if he didn't know them personally. Still, he thinks that he's gotten a handle on that specific sort of look of someone who's not on the right planet, or even in the right galaxy.
It takes some searching, but he eventually comes across a building that looks like it might not collapse just because someone looked at it the wrong way. And there's a staircase leading to the roof, and what would be a much better vantage point to get the layout of the surrounding area than he can get on the ground.
The whole thing seems rusted, but steady. Or at least it manages until he's almost to the top, where it starts to rattle ominously with every step — but he's too far up to back down now. So while BB-8 looks on from below, warbling unhappily, Poe's looking for whatever he can grab onto that isn't going to fall apart. He's reaching for the ledge when surprisingly strong hand grasps his wrist instead. It's enough to make him tense up, suspicious as he peers up toward the source, but it's a steadying hold, not a hostile one. ]
I'm alright, I'm alright. [ Debatable. ] But thanks.

because her immediate focus is on following that rattling noise back towards the stairs she took to get up, the one that's making said spidey-sense go ape shit. someone else must be trying to get up.
so she's quick to scramble back, dropping to her knee when she gets there in time to see someone reaching for that ledge. she doesn't hesitate before reaching out, whether those stairs have actually given way under them or not. she's not risking it. she also only slightly loosens her grip while they - he - climbs up the rest of the way.
and then she's just
kind of
dumbstruck ]
Puh-?
[ that's the sound gwen stacy makes when she's about to say poe?!, but realizes maybe he might... not know who she is. it wouldn't be the first time, and not just with him. so her expression probably gives it away - that recognition and, honestly, mild elation, but she decides it's better to play it safe. and the best way to cover up her blurted out half-word is an ] Umm. [ and a shake of her head, eyes still moving over him like she isn't quite believing what she's seeing ] You're sure you're alright?
no subject
It's also hard to deny what's right in front of him, as solid and real as it's ever been. ]
Gwen.
[ There's a moment that feels like it goes on forever, where they're just staring at each other that, in reality, only lasts a few seconds before he's crossing that distance she's put between them to catch her up into a tight embrace. It's the kind of hug that kind of implies that he might not be planning on letting go for a while. He's just so damn relieved. Wherever this is, and however they got here, at least now he knows that she's safe, and if she's got to be stuck here too, then at least she hasn't suddenly forgotten who he is. Which wasn't even something he was thinking about until just now.
He knows how lucky he is that he hasn't had to deal with that one yet. ]

[ she laughs, the tension that had drawn up from trying not to get her hopes up releasing all at once as he pulls her in for a hug. she squeezes him back tight, because it feels like she hasn't seen him in too long, but... it's actually a little bit blurry now? thinking about the last time she saw him. it feels like it's been a little while, but was it really? what was she even doing before she woke up here? she can't seem to land on a solid memory, which is- a lot, so she's trying not to focus too much on it. and she knows that feeling so relieved might make her pretty selfish, considering the state of this new city they've ended up in, but she is. she's over trying to be subtle about it, too, like she might have been back in duplicity. this place is a whole new bucket of weird, so she doesn't have it in her to hide how glad she is to see that she's not alone here.
eventually she pulls back a little bit, but only so she can look at him, arms still looped around his neck. ]
Did you just get here, too? [ her eyes are wide as she shakes her head ] It's insane. This whole thing is insane. I'm still not convinced this isn't some messed up mind game. [ aaand she's hugging him again ] I'm so glad you're here.

not that gwen missed peter parker at all ever because he's a total goober and a buzzkill but she might have that fluttery sort of excitement in her chest because okay yes she definitely missed him. she missed him a lot. and go figure he finds her here in another weirdly sex-driven city, but y'know? she'll take it. ]
