TDM 014: A DAY AT THE FAIR |
00. Arrival![]() You come out of the water, the Nameless Island's own inherent energy drawing people in. It's like being suspended between realities and abruptly pushed from behind through a rift in dimensions. It may make you sick, or that might be the motion of the ocean, lifting you to the surface and carrying you to shore. Waterlogged and covered in sand, new arrivals will be greeted by robots who welcome them with towels and bracelet devices. The A5 card is already loaded up. If you don’t manage to get away from them quickly enough, they may even usher you toward the Laid Bare Spa, where new arrivals will be offered free massages, a sauna, hairstyling, and their clothing may come up permanently missing. But you will be given a complimentary towel to leave with if needed! Feel free to explore the Island, though there isn’t much to see beyond what arrivals before you have helped to rebuild. Most of the buildings are abandoned and in dire need of repair, and beyond the city lingers a thick fog that obscures much of the wilderness from view. Wander too far into this fog, and you will find yourself mysteriously looping back to where you began, your memories of what you were doing and how you got there erased. With that in mind, it may be wise to stake your claim on a place to live in the now, whether a rundown apartment in the City, a tent on the beach, a bed in the barracks, or your own space at the House of Worship. Your inventory will be found a day later, wrapped up haphazardly and delivered to each person's makeshift home. I. HAY FEVER![]() A new mode of transportation has made an appearance! From one end of the fairgrounds to the other, and even sometimes off the beaten path and into the wilds, robot-horse-drawn hay wagons shake, rattle, and roll. And, of course, what are hay wagons great for? Anyone fancy a roll in the hay? Anyone who is taking a hay ride will see their A5 card flash - and they will be given the option to trade one square for the vehicles square. (New players engaging in this prompt can call it a freebie.) But beware! The wagons roll at all hours of the day and night. At night, the spooks come out to play! Rides will be "haunted" by frightful spooks played by machines and your local Islanders. The 'bots will hire anyone interested to don their favorite slasher costume or ghostly garb. After all, everyone knows that fear and adrenaline are related to attraction, right? Just another thoughtful service provided by your generous benefactors. II. Acute Beef Poisoning![]() How about an eating contest? Multiple competitions are held throughout the fair: hot dogs, hot dogs, pies -- just use your imagination! Of course, there's always the chance that you've been recruited to be "eaten"... So sit back and enjoy the ride. For those of you with an exhibitionist streak, all contests are held in front of an audience. Be careful, ye who eat here, because the pies in particular have been known to have the following effects (with a two-hour duration):
III. BRODEO![]() Last but not least, try the mechanical contraptions of various sizes - equipped with equipment of various sizes as well! The objective of this game is to last as long as you can. Thirteen Hand Sam is the smallest of the mechanical horses. It has no attachments, but instead vibrates until the rider orgasms. Mechanic Mike is the second mechanical horse. With a modest six-inch dildo, it bucks its rider around until orgasm. For those who like a real challenge, the mechanical bull -- the Bonine -- is a two-person contraption that straps each rider in with their own dildo. They sit face-to-face on the thrashing machine, within touching range, able to encourage each other to come (and to lose) more quickly. Ride like you've never ridden before, or comfort someone in the aftermath of a job well done. N A V I G A T I O N |
Wen Kexing | Word of Honor
Going from a snowy mountain top to being drenched in cold water and covered in sand did not amuse the Ghost King. That doesn't, however, stop him from standing and brushing the sand off.
Surroundings were new and unfamiliar, as was the robot that came towards him with some type of bracelet. Even after that is given he doesn't stick around. Much less when he notices more of the robots.
He would head back in this general direction later, if he thought it benefited him. For now? He might as well explore the island itself and see if anything seemed familiar. While also keeping an eye out for his soulmate.
[Hay Fever]
After managing to get cleaned up earlier in the day he'd noticed the horses. They were nothing like what him and Zishu were used to. He would remember horses that were robotic in nature. There were so many things about the place that were catching his attention, even if he still hadn't figured out what to think of the place yet.
He's comfortable, for the most part, in that little square with his fan out and lazily fanning himself. Something felt off about this ride, though, and he lets his eyes roam around the surroundings before him.
[Brodero]
Kexing had never seen a game that required contraptions like that before. Though, he doesn't participate in it himself, it looked intriguing. People being thrown onto some mechanical animal only to gain pleasure. It wasn't something that he would've thought of. Then again, most of his pleasure came from one man. Before Zishu, there had been others, but that was before he'd found his soulmate.
Snapping his fan shut he sees one of the people who had partaken in one of the mechanical animals. "Are you alright?" Whether he was genuinely concerned or not was anyone's guess, but he could make sure the person wasn't too bad off.

Brodero
So he'd gotten cleaned up and set to wandering, listening and observing all he can as he goes along. And that ended up with him watching a rather...unusual activity that has him curious, but not enough to try for himself. Not without his soulmate, at least, and speaking of...
A flash of relief runs through him despite his confidence of finding Kexing even here, and walks up to the other to peer over at the mechanical beasts. "Hm? Fine."
no subject
It's the familiar sound of his voice that has him whirling around and giving a smile, "A-Xu." Then, a hint of amusement to his voice," You're late."
no subject
Unless he wants to tease him, of course.
Being told he's late, of course, makes him laugh. "Am I?" He reaches out to pinch Kexing's shoulder with a grin. "Maybe I just wanted to explore a bit before hunting you down!"
no subject
He gives a mock pout at the pinch to his shoulder," You are." Though, that mock pout only gets worse," You decided to explore without me, A-Xu? You'll just have to do it all over again." He can't keep that straight face anymore, leaning in to kiss his soulmate.
no subject
"Fine. Let's go."
He doesn't mind doing a more thorough exploration now they're together.
no subject
"Have you found anything in your exploring, A-Xu?"
Even as he asks, he turns to follow him away from the mechanical beasts and their interesting uses for them.
no subject
Zishu leads the way away without question - as interesting as those things could be, they have more important things to see and figure out. And, really, to settle on a place to live. But also if his soulmate really wants to play, they can in much more comfort.
"What isn't abandoned has already been claimed, we'll have to fix something up." Meaning, of course, Kexing has a lot of work to do.
no subject
He snaps his fan open and fans himself as they walk, raising his brow at what his soulmate was telling him. The last time they'd fixed anything up it hadn't been Zishu to do most of it.
"How much would need to be fixed, A-Xu?"
no subject
But keeps walking, leading the way to one building he recalls passing earlier. "This one doesn't seem to bad, Lao Wen. I don't think it'll take you too long to fix." Because the aim is for a place they can make as cold as possible.
"Unless you're tired, of course. Then it'll take longer."
no subject
Those eyes look towards the building in question," How much of the inside did you explore?" As for being tired, he gives Zishu a bit of a look.
"What are you going to be doing during that time, A-Xu?"
no subject
"The roof seems sturdy, there is a strange power source that I think runs the machines and brings light and cool air inside." Dutiful report. "Mostly it's sweeping and mopping. Maybe new paint and freshen the air up."
No major repairs, at least. Really, he's surprised this one hasn't been moved into already!
"But no furniture, so we'll need a bed." He hums, ignoring being asked what he'll be doing for the moment. "And the bathtub might need mended." He knows how well his soulmate loves his baths!
no subject
"Where is this strange power source?" That was something that he wanted to see for himself. If it could provide them with what they needed then they would be fine. He'd find ways around it if it didn't. "Do we even have what we need to do so?" Or is he making those items, he will if he has to.
He's noticed that Zishu didn't answer him and he shakes his head, trying not to laugh," A-Xu." He's clearly amused. "It won't take long, as long as we have what is needed."
no subject
He steps inside and flicks a switch beside the door, showing the lights overhead turn on in the small house. It's a bit dirty, really, with debris strewn here and there. But it has potential until they get what they need for more. "I haven't found the source or figured out how it works."
As for what they need, and that exclamation, he grins and takes a moment to step in to steal a kiss to soothe. "I'll get what we need if you want to start organizing things in here. I still have some money." Another kiss...just because.
no subject
Kexing kisses him back and gives a hum, snapping his fan shut. "You should do that then." It would give him time to figure a few other things out. Another kiss and he shoos his soulmate out the door.
"Go on, A-Xu. It'll be quicker that way."

Hay Fever
Quickly, he prepares himself, some part of him screaming that he should walk away, but Xie has always been drawn to danger.
"When did you arrive, Lord Kexing?" he keeps just enough space between them so he might have a chance at fleeing if necessary, "I could have helped you if I had known."
no subject
The last person that the ghost lord thought to see was the man approaching him. He lazily fans himself as he watches the other man and gives a soft hum at the question. It should be worriesome, to some, that he seems as relaxed as he is. Danger isn't always shown.
"An hour or so ago." He notices the space between them. "Afraid that I'm going to bite?" It's almost teasing, but might sound comfortable, at ease.
no subject
"Did you take a dip?" he smiles quickly, flawlessly and bows at the waist, "I don't want to intrude where I am not welcome, that is all."
For the sake of appearing polite - cordial - he takes a step forward and folds his arms behind his back.
"I can assist you in finding a home if you need it."
no subject
He doesn't, however, answer the question of whether or not he took a dip. Was it not obvious? Most of him was dried off. However, he hadn't stuck around. One of the robots possibly even got a fan to the face.
"Why don't you show me around town instead."
no subject
And potentially take Kexing by the statue that undresses people. By accident, of course! He has no desire to see the Ghost Lord without a stitch on his body.
Well, maybe he would like to see that a little bit.
no subject
He is not, by any chance, amused when they do go around town and end up by a statue. One that he doesn't recognize, for one, and for another his clothes are stripped and he looks non-plussed by that. The only thing still in possession being his fan.
Where said clothes are at, he's not entirely sure at the moment. "Something you forgot to tell me, Scorpion?"
no subject
The statue helps him answer that question! He does his best to look startled, though he has clearly given the statue a wide berth. Xie spent his first hours in this place nude; he has paid that debt.
If such a debt exists.
"Please call me Xie'er." he responds as if nothing is amiss, cocking his head to take in...every...inch, "You might get cold like that, though the day is warm."
no subject
"Is that what you're going by here?"
He understands the need to get away from a name, given or otherwise. It's not to say he won't still call him Scorpion when they're alone together. Something that isn't bound to happen often.
"I won't."
The cold is actually a welcome thing. He fans himself despite being naked. The ghost lord is rather comfortable in his own body.
"Though, I should find where they went."
no subject
"It doesn't matter what I go by. I just want to hear you say it." he likes that confidence and that, more than anything else, is what spurs him into action, "I know where they are."
Walking around behind the statue, he plucks the various articles from where the statue had hidden them. Unfortunately, by doing so, his robes too are sent flying. When he comes back to Kexing, he is naked too.
"At least you're not alone."
no subject
That was, for all intents and purposes, the only time that Kexing would call him that. Scorpion would realize soon enough that it did matter what someone went by. It was, after all, a part of who they were.
"It would seem that I'm not."
If there's a hint of amusement in his tone, then so be it. His focus would, and always will, be on his Zishu. That wasn't to say that he didn't notice the beauty of the body before his own naked one.
"I take it that the clothing isn't always behind the statue?"
If his soulmate did show up in this place, he'd have to warn him of this statue. To stay as far from it as possible.
