TDM 014: A DAY AT THE FAIR |
00. Arrival![]() You come out of the water, the Nameless Island's own inherent energy drawing people in. It's like being suspended between realities and abruptly pushed from behind through a rift in dimensions. It may make you sick, or that might be the motion of the ocean, lifting you to the surface and carrying you to shore. Waterlogged and covered in sand, new arrivals will be greeted by robots who welcome them with towels and bracelet devices. The A5 card is already loaded up. If you don’t manage to get away from them quickly enough, they may even usher you toward the Laid Bare Spa, where new arrivals will be offered free massages, a sauna, hairstyling, and their clothing may come up permanently missing. But you will be given a complimentary towel to leave with if needed! Feel free to explore the Island, though there isn’t much to see beyond what arrivals before you have helped to rebuild. Most of the buildings are abandoned and in dire need of repair, and beyond the city lingers a thick fog that obscures much of the wilderness from view. Wander too far into this fog, and you will find yourself mysteriously looping back to where you began, your memories of what you were doing and how you got there erased. With that in mind, it may be wise to stake your claim on a place to live in the now, whether a rundown apartment in the City, a tent on the beach, a bed in the barracks, or your own space at the House of Worship. Your inventory will be found a day later, wrapped up haphazardly and delivered to each person's makeshift home. I. HAY FEVER![]() A new mode of transportation has made an appearance! From one end of the fairgrounds to the other, and even sometimes off the beaten path and into the wilds, robot-horse-drawn hay wagons shake, rattle, and roll. And, of course, what are hay wagons great for? Anyone fancy a roll in the hay? Anyone who is taking a hay ride will see their A5 card flash - and they will be given the option to trade one square for the vehicles square. (New players engaging in this prompt can call it a freebie.) But beware! The wagons roll at all hours of the day and night. At night, the spooks come out to play! Rides will be "haunted" by frightful spooks played by machines and your local Islanders. The 'bots will hire anyone interested to don their favorite slasher costume or ghostly garb. After all, everyone knows that fear and adrenaline are related to attraction, right? Just another thoughtful service provided by your generous benefactors. II. Acute Beef Poisoning![]() How about an eating contest? Multiple competitions are held throughout the fair: hot dogs, hot dogs, pies -- just use your imagination! Of course, there's always the chance that you've been recruited to be "eaten"... So sit back and enjoy the ride. For those of you with an exhibitionist streak, all contests are held in front of an audience. Be careful, ye who eat here, because the pies in particular have been known to have the following effects (with a two-hour duration):
III. BRODEO![]() Last but not least, try the mechanical contraptions of various sizes - equipped with equipment of various sizes as well! The objective of this game is to last as long as you can. Thirteen Hand Sam is the smallest of the mechanical horses. It has no attachments, but instead vibrates until the rider orgasms. Mechanic Mike is the second mechanical horse. With a modest six-inch dildo, it bucks its rider around until orgasm. For those who like a real challenge, the mechanical bull -- the Bonine -- is a two-person contraption that straps each rider in with their own dildo. They sit face-to-face on the thrashing machine, within touching range, able to encourage each other to come (and to lose) more quickly. Ride like you've never ridden before, or comfort someone in the aftermath of a job well done. N A V I G A T I O N |

"No, but it does make things easier." As for the slightly cooler air, his Lao Wen works fast, as he knew he would.
He reaches up to twirl a lock of his soulmate's beautiful white hair around fingers as the other warns him away from a statue and what it does, a brow raising before a frown crosses his face.
"I saw a monstrosity of one, but didn't approach." Now he definitely won't!
no subject
There's a soft smile at the fingers in his hair, despite the frown that crosses his A-Xu's lips. He's not entirely sure how many statues are in town, but he's glad that Zishu went nowhere near it.
"Scorpion's here. Don't make any trouble, A-Xu."
More a warning than anything else. After all, he was the reason that he, himself, found out about the statue that divested people of their clothing.
no subject
Zishu lets himself linger, threading his fingers through the hair that proves his soulmate's love - as if he'd doubted it, with all they've been through. It's enough to help mollify him...until Scorpion is mentioned.
That answered his unasked question of how his soulmate had found out about the statue's effect. "No promises if he touches you."
no subject
Kexing leans into Zishu and reaches to take his free hand, threading their fingers together. The words, however, are ones that he expected the moment he mentioned Scorpion. Words that get a soft smile out of him.
"A-Xu, he won't touch me. If he tries, I have my fan." He wasn't afraid to use his war fan if it was truly needed.
no subject
Zishu gladly lets their fingers entwine, leaning comfortably back against him. He releases his hold on white hair to wrap that arm around his soulmate's waist, holding him close as he listens to the reassurance and promise of what Kexing would do if Scorpion tried anything with him.
That soft smile has him roll his eyes a little, but it tugs a smile from him too before he leans in for a lingering kiss.
"Good."
no subject
The lingering kiss, for the moment, shuts him up and he deepens it. That's not to say that after the kiss he doesn't nip Zishu's bottom lip.
"You worry too much, A-Xu. No one will touch me if they know what's best for them."
If not for something that he, himself, would do to them then something that his soulmate would do to them.
"Or, maybe," he teases with a laugh,"- you should tell the world who I belong to, A-Xu."
no subject
As for that teasing suggestion...Zishu's grin widens and he lets their noses nudge together.
"I can make it clear that you belong to someone. A collar, perhaps? Or..." he turns his head to nip down his soulmate's neck to pay pointed attention to just above where Kexing's robes cover.
no subject
He's not above introducing someone to his fan if it comes down to it. If he doesn't have his fan with him then his hands work just as well. They were good fighters and it would show in how they handled the situation.
The nose nudges were nice but he tilts his head a bit when those lips find his throat, a soft laugh escaping him," If I wear a collar, A-Xu, then you'll have to wear one too."
no subject
Zishu grins as his soulmate lifts his head out of the way with that lovely laugh and sucks hard enough to make sure a mark will be left behind. Then kisses it softly as if in apology.
"Find a collar you want me to wear, and I will." If his silly Lao Wen thinks that would deter him...Kexing isn't the only one of them that can get jealous or possessive.
no subject
Even if those lessons happen to be getting their asses kicked for doing things that they shouldn't. Though, he wasn't concerned about that. Why concern himself for something that hasn't happened yet?
He knows that a mark will be left on his throat, not that he minds. If anything it gets a contented sound out of the man. Then again, he likes the soft kiss after it.
"We'll have to find a place to find the collars, then. We'll pick out a matching set."
no subject
But he's more interested in giving his soulmate his attention.
Zishu chuckles, content to remain leaning against his soulmate. He smiles against Kexing's neck at that sound and nuzzles the mark. "I passed one place that was selling...clothes. If you could call them that. It might have suitable collars."
no subject
At this rate? The place wasn't bound to get done, but that was alright. A good majority of it had been before Zishu got back from getting the supplies that were needed. S, he will gladly soak up the attention.
"We'll have to check it out then. Though, you have me curious now." Clothes that weren't exactly clothes. That was interesting all on its own.
no subject
Zishu hasn't forgotten there's still work to do. But for the moment, he'd rather pay attention to his lover for a moment longer. And so he does! He grins at the curiosity and gives that tempting neck another loving nip.
"I'll show you tomorrow."
Then gives his soulmate one more tighter squeeze before letting go.
"Alright. I got what you asked for, Lao Wen. There's still work to do to get this place better suited for us."
no subject
He gives a laugh when his soulmate nips his neck again. Kexing doesn't mind the marks that it will leave. He does, however, raise a brow when he's reminded that there's still work to do. Yes, he knows this.
"And what will you be doing in the mean time, A-Xu?"
no subject
The question has him blink blithely at Kexing. "My flute came with me. I could play for you." Luckily for Kexing's poor ears, Zishu has even improved his playing over the years. Not so piercing anymore!
no subject
It's another reason he doesn't mind the marks or the fact the other doesn't do anything. Besides, Zishu will make it up to him later.
He smiles a bit at the mention of the flute. "Just don't make my ears bleed, A-Xu." The statement is in a teasing tone even as he grabs the bucket to fill it up. If there's a slight hiss of annoyance and glare at the sink, then so be it.
no subject
Zishu will definitely make it up to him~ Always.
He laughs and gives his soulmate a playful shove. "How rude you are to your senior! Now I'm too wounded to play!" He follows to the sink though, then frowns at the hiss. He reaches for Kexing's hand. "What is it?"
no subject
"A-Xu!" Rude? He was far from rude. He could be, if his Zishu really wanted to test those waters. "You want this done, don't you? Then my A-Xu will play for me."
His hand is a bit red and warm to the touch when Zishu takes it," Looks like we'll need to be careful with the water here, A-Xu." Just don't be a dummy and put your hand in it too, Zishu, you won't like the feel of it.
no subject
Zishu grins. "Of course I will play for my Lao Wen." Teasing is just a way of life for them.
As for that poor hand, he's careful as he checks it over. "It was that hot?" No, no he won't be testing it himself. "Be more careful." It does hint that baths will be that much more pleasant though. No need to heat the water with fire!
no subject
"It is still that hot, A-Xu," he states looking towards the stream of water coming from the faucet, a stream that was filling the room itself with steam. He hasn't quite tried the other knob yet, the one that will mix the hot and cold together. It's only after a moment that he reaches out to turn it. An experiment, if one will.
"That means you need to be careful as well, A-Xu. We don't know what else we're dealing with."
no subject
Zishu eyes the faucet that had hurt his soulmate, but doesn't stop Kexing from his experiment. "Mm. We both will be." Between the odd clothes-stealing statue, the power that gives them light, and now water hot enough to burn...
Yes. Being careful is a necessity.
no subject
Those eyes narrow slightly and despite the fact that the scalding hot water had harmed him before, he reaches down to put his hand under the stream. This time, however, when he makes a face it isn't because it's too hot. It wasn't quite right either.
"Why don't you start playing, A-Xu," While he figures out the temperament (because to hell with it being the temperature. This thing was being temperamental) of the water.
no subject
Zishu's eyes also narrow when he watches his soulmate put his hand right back under that stream of water. At least this time there isn't an accompanying hiss, though that face softens his expression enough he snorts softly before leaning in to kiss his soulmate.
"Just don't destroy it, Lao Wen. That would be harder for you to fix."
And would likely result in them needing to find another place to live. He pulls away and settles on the functional couch, then pulls his flute out to begin as bid.
no subject
Kexing kisses him back and gives a bit of a laugh at the mention of not destroying it. "I don't plan to destroy it, A-Xu." However, that doesn't stop him from looking toward the sink. Could it be destroyed?
Instead of focusing on that too much, he manages to get the temperamental water where he wants it. Once that happens, he's content to clean as he listens to his A-Xu play.
His soulmate had gotten better, he would give him that. He is enjoying the sound of his soulmate's playing while he cleans up the place. It would make things go far quicker.
no subject
Zishu smiles at the laugh, though that look has him roll his eyes before teasingly reaching to steal that fan from Kexing. Best to remove at least one method of destruction, right?
He focuses on his music though, teasing his soulmate with sounds that are definitely gentler than the piercing noise he'd once played with. It helps make the time pass faster, and the cleaning to go by easier.
