TDM 001: TFLU

( 1 ) After leaving the teleportation chamber, you are gently coaxed out of the hospital and encouraged to find a place to stay. Maybe you've had time to check out your A5 app. Maybe you're just settling in. It's cloudy, overcast, cold -- you'll want to seek out someplace warm.

Also, your device is beeping. A lot. The tech on the island works, it just doesn't work right. You can't seem to send a message to the correct person.

It's time for...

Texts From Last Universe

( 2 ) What's this? Your bingo card has just been beamed to a stranger's inbox...?!
( sample A5 cards -- NSFW, may contain triggering content, please feel free to use/ignore as you see fit)

( 3 ) And now you're receiving messages from other users that they don't remember sending:

Nice shirt. It would look better on my floor.

10/10 would ride it into the sunset.

This user thinks you're attractive.

u up?

🍆

( 4 ) Once you figure out that the robots have been hacking your devices, it's no easy feat to track one down and demand they stop. "So The Augur wills!" they wail in a monotone. "So it is done!"

Any attempt to actually contact The Augur and get back into the hospital will be met with beefy robot bodyguards, who suggest taking a gentler approach to fix your devices.

If you know what they mean.

Wink.

(This is your overt kink prompt. Please label any threads accordingly.)

Note: All prompts are optional. The theme for this TDM is "malfunctioning devices." They can be fixed by indulging in the squares on your cards. For the sake of the TDM, you can use one of the pre-generated examples or a wildcard from the kink list. This can be used as a free bingo square completion once you have been accepted into the game. Players are welcome to wildcard their own TDM prompts; we only ask that you try to stick to the theme.

[Yeah, okay, that's fair. BUT]

I have no idea what that is. Or where. Is it... a place on Earth, or something? I haven't been everywhere, so. [There's lots of places she has no clue about! Like anything outside of Delmarva.]

Earth? What kind of name is Earth? It's like calling someplace 'Soil'!

[ Catra wrinkles her nose. ]

We might be from different planets.

Hey, I didn't name it. [... But it's still probably a better name than anything Lapis would have come up with, so. You know. Weighing hand motion and all.]

Well, I guess that'd make sense. Does that mean your planet is called Etheria? That's a pretty weird name too, you know.
heterochrocatic: (103 » I'm running out of time)

[personal profile] heterochrocatic 2020-05-18 07:39 pm (UTC)(link)
It's not weird. Etheria is a good name for a planet.

[ Not that... Catra knows why it's named that or anything. ]

Hmm.... Could be better. [But mostly she's just saying that to poke fun.]

I'm from Homeworld though, so I can't really say much about how the people in change name planets, I guess.
heterochrocatic: (003 » Just can't get enough guy)

[personal profile] heterochrocatic 2020-05-18 07:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Just 'Homeworld'?

[ Catra scratches her chin. ]

I mean at least it makes sense.

people in charge* im sorry i was really tired when i wrote that

[personal profile] mirrortide 2020-05-19 02:46 am (UTC)(link)
I guess. It's not really all that literal though, since I wasn't even made there. Thougyh I guess that's where we were made originally, so maybe it still makes sense.

[... That's too much to think about, and she's nowhere near smart enough for it, so!]

What about you? You look organic, so I'm going to guess you were probably born on this "Etheria"?

I guess? I never knew my parents, but I assume that's where they were from?

[ Catra shrugs. ]

I just wish I knew what dustball this place is.

Probably some backwater planet. Did the computer thing give you the same spiel too? About bringing life back to... this junk heap? Like, not to be a complete downer or anything, but generally once a planet is destroyed, there's no fixing it.
heterochrocatic: (024 » To piss off the dumb few that forg)

[personal profile] heterochrocatic 2020-05-19 03:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah.

[ Catra scowls, hands on hips. ]

I mean, I've seen it happen. Kind of. But Etheria still had magic of its own that helped that...

[personal profile] mirrortide 2020-05-20 02:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Mmmost planets that get totaled like this generally don't come back from it, speaking as a former world destroyer. [Pause.] Emphasis on former, by the way. So I'd say your planet is pretty lucky, and as for this one? I have a feeling that it's not going to be so great.
heterochrocatic: (165 » Why run if there is no hurry?)

[personal profile] heterochrocatic 2020-05-21 02:56 pm (UTC)(link)
We had a lot of magic, so...

[ Shrug. ]

Etheria got lucky. We got lucky. This place? It's a mess.

No... This looks like, kinda... [She gives a hum of contemplation, looking around and kicking a small stone over.]

Like Gems got here, and took everything the planet had to make more of us.
