TDM 001: TFLU

( 1 ) After leaving the teleportation chamber, you are gently coaxed out of the hospital and encouraged to find a place to stay. Maybe you've had time to check out your A5 app. Maybe you're just settling in. It's cloudy, overcast, cold -- you'll want to seek out someplace warm.

Also, your device is beeping. A lot. The tech on the island works, it just doesn't work right. You can't seem to send a message to the correct person.

It's time for...

Texts From Last Universe

( 2 ) What's this? Your bingo card has just been beamed to a stranger's inbox...?!
( sample A5 cards -- NSFW, may contain triggering content, please feel free to use/ignore as you see fit)

( 3 ) And now you're receiving messages from other users that they don't remember sending:

Nice shirt. It would look better on my floor.

10/10 would ride it into the sunset.

This user thinks you're attractive.

u up?

🍆

( 4 ) Once you figure out that the robots have been hacking your devices, it's no easy feat to track one down and demand they stop. "So The Augur wills!" they wail in a monotone. "So it is done!"

Any attempt to actually contact The Augur and get back into the hospital will be met with beefy robot bodyguards, who suggest taking a gentler approach to fix your devices.

If you know what they mean.

Wink.

(This is your overt kink prompt. Please label any threads accordingly.)

Note: All prompts are optional. The theme for this TDM is "malfunctioning devices." They can be fixed by indulging in the squares on your cards. For the sake of the TDM, you can use one of the pre-generated examples or a wildcard from the kink list. This can be used as a free bingo square completion once you have been accepted into the game. Players are welcome to wildcard their own TDM prompts; we only ask that you try to stick to the theme.

Can't say I have any desire to argue that. I've seen movies about space. Seems very sparse and barren.

I'm a nature lover. I'll take beaches and forests over red planets and asteroids.

Ah, I haven’t been on a vacation in ages.

Which now seems funny, given the nature of things.

[ enforced vacation!! oh no. ]

[He could see the humor in it, smiling himself.]

Indeed. I suppose we'll just HAVE to find some way to suffer through having a good time.

[ he’d smile, too, but his face is covered by an ugly-ass mask rn. the sentiment is there. ]

I’ll have to remember what that’s like.

[Sentiment counts.]

Which part? The suffering or the good time?

Good times, sadly.

[ everything else in his life is suffering!! ]

Ouch. And now you have my sympathies.

[He only suffered when there wasn't a patch of sunlight to nap in.]

That’s alright. Work always keeps me busy.

This isn’t an ideal situation for me, but there is plenty enough time to learn. Especially with the nature of things.

[personal profile] theriomorphism 2020-05-19 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
Fair enough. While I can't say this is ideal, I don't see how being angry about it will help. Might as well make the best of a strange situation.

Very true.

Are there others from your world here?
theriomorphism: (Pensive - 1)

[personal profile] theriomorphism 2020-05-19 09:00 am (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't know. Apparently there are

multiples? Multiple worlds. Still trying to figure that one out, but I'm not sure who or what may be from mine or a version of their own.

No one I know, if that's what you're asking.
automatized: [ awkward ] (i’ve got a real indication)

[personal profile] automatized 2020-05-19 06:38 pm (UTC)(link)
That just means you never know who might come by and surprise you.

Though the idea of multiple worlds is new to me, as well. Even in my time, that’s quite far away to imagine at all.

[personal profile] theriomorphism 2020-05-19 07:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Just my like, there'll be another me out there. At least I'd know where I and myself stand.

I suppose the idea of it's not all that foreign. Books and scifi have tangled with it for ages. It's just the reality of being suddenly smack dab in the middle of proof.
automatized: [ awkward ] (Default)

[personal profile] automatized 2020-05-20 05:38 am (UTC)(link)
No, not at all foreign. But to here some people’s experiences prior to being here .... I don’t mean to be cruel, but perhaps this place can be a reprieve for some.

[personal profile] theriomorphism 2020-05-20 05:44 am (UTC)(link)
I can't argue with that. Not so much for myself, but I could imagine that there are some where I come from that would consider this a reprieve. I'd imagine that would be tenfold when you take multiple realities and worlds into consideration.

True.

What’s the strangest thing that’s happened in your world, in recent memory? Go by whatever definition ‘strange’ fits for you.
theriomorphism: (Default)

[personal profile] theriomorphism 2020-05-20 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I can't really say. 'Strange' is a very unique term. I'd go so far as to say nothing.

[Strange to him might not be the same as strange to a human. And as far as world-wide... that was a stretch, magically or not.]
