![]() ( 1 ) After leaving the teleportation chamber, you are gently coaxed out of the hospital and encouraged to find a place to stay. Maybe you've had time to check out your A5 app. Maybe you're just settling in. It's cloudy, overcast, cold -- you'll want to seek out someplace warm. Also, your device is beeping. A lot. The tech on the island works, it just doesn't work right. You can't seem to send a message to the correct person. It's time for... Texts From Last Universe( 2 ) What's this? Your bingo card has just been beamed to a stranger's inbox...?! ( sample A5 cards -- NSFW, may contain triggering content, please feel free to use/ignore as you see fit) ( 3 ) And now you're receiving messages from other users that they don't remember sending: Nice shirt. It would look better on my floor. 10/10 would ride it into the sunset. This user thinks you're attractive. u up? 🍆 ( 4 ) Once you figure out that the robots have been hacking your devices, it's no easy feat to track one down and demand they stop. "So The Augur wills!" they wail in a monotone. "So it is done!" Any attempt to actually contact The Augur and get back into the hospital will be met with beefy robot bodyguards, who suggest taking a gentler approach to fix your devices. If you know what they mean. Wink. (This is your overt kink prompt. Please label any threads accordingly.) Note: All prompts are optional. The theme for this TDM is "malfunctioning devices." They can be fixed by indulging in the squares on your cards. For the sake of the TDM, you can use one of the pre-generated examples or a wildcard from the kink list. This can be used as a free bingo square completion once you have been accepted into the game. Players are welcome to wildcard their own TDM prompts; we only ask that you try to stick to the theme. [Or maybe it was. Different place. Different people. Different cultures. It could just be an initiation process. These kinds of thoughts, however, are too deep for someone like Mel to contemplate. It's almost better if she doesn't overthink it.]
Someone I know from my world is here. She said we'd find a place together. I'm sure we'll have extra space. I don't think she'd mind if you stayed with us.
[She doesn't know that for certainty either, but Aisha has been known to be kind from time to time, if not strangely welcoming. Well. Welcoming without the naivete.]

[Maybe it was a malfunction in the network rather than the individual devices... not that she'd know what could be causing that, or how to fix it. But then, there still doesn't appear to be anything she can do about it regardless, so perhaps there's no use continuing that line of thought.
As for more relevant conversation topics...]
Oh, that's very kind of you. But are you sure it's alright to just offer space to a stranger like that without your friend knowing?

[Melfina pauses, realising that just because she knows what she's talking about doesn't mean anyone else will. She wonders how to put it.] It could be corrupted. [Maybe that's vague enough to make sense. It's as she's still contemplating whether she should add onto her explanation that Summer continues.
Oh... Well.]
I can ask Aisha when I see her. I don't think she'll mind, but... You're right. Besides, she'll want to meet you anyway.
[...Or she'll make Summer work, too. That is, if they really do intend to open Starwind and Hawking Enterprises here.]
no subject
Yes, I'd like to meet her too. And speaking of meetings...
[She holds out her hand, smiling a bit sheepishly.]
I never did give you my name. Summer Rose. I'm a huntress.
no subject
My name is Melfina.
[A pause and then.]
It's nice to meet you! What kinds of things do you hunt?
no subject
A pleasure, Melfina.
[And now to explain her job.]
They're called the Grimm. They're essentially monsters, native to my world. I'm not sure they'll show up here... I rather hope they don't, actually, even if that means I'm out of a job.

Summer continues and Mel's surprise is... palpable. Or maybe it's not surprise. Confusion? It's something akin to that.]
Monsters? [She taps at her chin in thought. For all the things she's seen in space... the word monster hasn't crossed too much into her excursions. Maybe that one time on the water planet... But those were called demons...] I don't think I've ever really seen a monster before. Not really. Maybe there are monsters here for you to hunt.

[Hopefully there would be other people here to help, but she can't count on that.]
For now, we all have more immediate worries, anyway.
no subject
[And it's a little overwhelming when she starts to think about the whole big picture of it all. If it weren't for Aisha, Melfina doubts she'd be able to handle things well at all.]
One step at a time, I guess. I think Aisha will really like you. [Two women who seem incredibly self-sufficient? What's not to like?]

[Even if she hasn't actually said all that much about Aisha herself, it's obvious that Melfina is drawing a lot of support from her friend being here, and that's a strong positive as far as Summer's concerned.]
no subject
[At least not in Mel's opinion. Aisha is a little boisterous and loud, but if someone like Gene can get along with her, then surely anyone can, right?]
If you give me your... [She motions to her device.] If we trade contact information, we can find one another more easily. That way I can find Aisha and try to put things together for us.
[...It's just not in Melfina's nature to leave Summer to fend for herself. Although the truth is that Summer would likely be just fine.]

[The more allies in this place they can find, the better, after all.
She fiddles with her device and pulls up her information. Name: Summer Rose. User ID: STRQ Contrast. And some other assorted info she doubts Melfina really needs, including a link to that silly card they gave her.]
Here's mine.
