TDM 001

TDM 001: TFLU

( 1 ) After leaving the teleportation chamber, you are gently coaxed out of the hospital and encouraged to find a place to stay. Maybe you've had time to check out your A5 app. Maybe you're just settling in. It's cloudy, overcast, cold -- you'll want to seek out someplace warm.

Also, your device is beeping. A lot. The tech on the island works, it just doesn't work right. You can't seem to send a message to the correct person.

It's time for...

Texts From Last Universe

( 2 ) What's this? Your bingo card has just been beamed to a stranger's inbox...?!
( sample A5 cards -- NSFW, may contain triggering content, please feel free to use/ignore as you see fit)

( 3 ) And now you're receiving messages from other users that they don't remember sending:

Nice shirt. It would look better on my floor.

10/10 would ride it into the sunset.

This user thinks you're attractive.

u up?

🍆

( 4 ) Once you figure out that the robots have been hacking your devices, it's no easy feat to track one down and demand they stop. "So The Augur wills!" they wail in a monotone. "So it is done!"

Any attempt to actually contact The Augur and get back into the hospital will be met with beefy robot bodyguards, who suggest taking a gentler approach to fix your devices.

If you know what they mean.

Wink.

(This is your overt kink prompt. Please label any threads accordingly.)

Note: All prompts are optional. The theme for this TDM is "malfunctioning devices." They can be fixed by indulging in the squares on your cards. For the sake of the TDM, you can use one of the pre-generated examples or a wildcard from the kink list. This can be used as a free bingo square completion once you have been accepted into the game. Players are welcome to wildcard their own TDM prompts; we only ask that you try to stick to the theme.

Catra has to smile. Entrapta could be odd, sure but she was smart and wasn't inclined to get mopey. Which was exactly what Catra needed right now, honestly.

"That's exactly what I mean--you'd think we could catch a break." She pauses, then adds:

"Sorry you couldn't look at the supercomputer. You'd probably have us out of here in no time."

tinyfood: (plrease go to the salad bar)

[personal profile] tinyfood 2020-05-19 04:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Entrapta sighs. "Yeah... I bet if I could access the technology used to bring us here I could reverse engineer the process... Mmmmbut--! There's definitely a lot to learn here too!" She clasps her hands together. "In my experience, when stuff just keeps on happening, you gotta make the most of it!"
heterochrocatic: (093 » I look around and)

[personal profile] heterochrocatic 2020-05-19 05:05 pm (UTC)(link)
At least someone is enthusiastic. Catra is still tense, unhappy--but Entrapta's presence makes her feel much more confident about getting home eventually.

"I mean, you're right. We just have to do what we can..." She takes a breath and exhales, trying to let out the tension lingering in her body.

"...Any idea why we keep getting messages on these things?" She holds up the bracelet, which has yet to stop beeping.
tinyfood: y wyll take down anyone whos mad at me (Leut me make thys clear:)

[personal profile] tinyfood 2020-05-19 05:19 pm (UTC)(link)
"Nope!" says Entrapta brightly. "Mine stopped working after I opened it up, though. Say, can I take a look at yours?"

She's already reaching for Catra's bracelet.

"Yeah, I don't see why not." Catra holds her wrist out. She doesn't particularly care if it gets ripped apart by Entrapta, really. She's not terribly excited about most of the messages she's getting the first place...
tinyfood: (another blyssfful day ygnoryng the fact)

[personal profile] tinyfood 2020-05-20 12:08 am (UTC)(link)
Entrapta leans into Catra's business to look at her wrist rather than taking it off of her, head tilted to examine the screen. "You've been getting those weird messages too, right? At first I thought they might be some kind of coded transmission but I can't figure out any pattern..."
heterochrocatic: (080 » Dead or alive)

[personal profile] heterochrocatic 2020-05-20 04:10 am (UTC)(link)
"Ugh, yeah. They won't stop," Catra grumbles as she lets Entrapta look at the screen. Not like there's anything there that bothers her--it's just a bunch of messages.

"I'm pretty sure they're just, you know. Asking for sex."
tinyfood: (y poynted at the screen)

[personal profile] tinyfood 2020-05-21 06:36 am (UTC)(link)
She blinks. She looks back down at the screen. She squints a little.

Then she goes, "OOOohhhhhhh. You know, that lines up!"
heterochrocatic: (103 » I'm running out of time)

[personal profile] heterochrocatic 2020-05-21 03:50 pm (UTC)(link)
"It took me a little bit to figure out, too," Catra admits. Then she sighs heavily.

"Have you seen anyone else? Like, that we know?"
tinyfood: of cups that are too close to the edge of the table (user named " beavys_synatra " has been)

[personal profile] tinyfood 2020-05-23 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
"Nope," says Entrapta, still scrolling through Catra's inbox. "Just you! Hhuh... why d'you think all these people are so rowdy?"
heterochrocatic: (126 » I tried to find the sound)

[personal profile] heterochrocatic 2020-05-23 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
"I think the robots want us to get together? Like, to help restore the island or something? I wasn't paying that much attention," Catra admits with a scowl.

"...It's not like I'm going to reply to any of these idiots."
tinyfood: (ymagyne an offyce)

[personal profile] tinyfood 2020-05-23 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
Entrapta blinks.

"Wait... These are from the robots?"

THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING,
heterochrocatic: (093 » I look around and)

[personal profile] heterochrocatic 2020-05-23 03:52 am (UTC)(link)
"Maybe? I've been getting some from people who get mad when I tell them to leave me alone and say they never sent anything..." Catra says, squinting at Entrapta.

"I don't think the robots are going to let you get that close with them, but maybe I'm wrong."
tinyfood: (horny does'nt exyst)

[personal profile] tinyfood 2020-05-23 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
"Oooohhhh... I see. So you think the robots are generating these to try to incite, intimacy, between the people receiving them? Fascinating..."

She sighs. "They should definitely just try being themselves instead."
heterochrocatic: (099 » I said ooh I'm drowning in the nig)

[personal profile] heterochrocatic 2020-05-23 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
Catra actually laughs at that, one of her more open ones. High. A little squeaky. It feels good to actually laugh, even if this whole situation feels completely messed up.

"Yeah, you'd think they'd just do that. But maybe they just need us to, uh. Do it."
tinyfood: after 12,239 pages of heated debate, ("Ys Waryo A Lybertaryan")

[personal profile] tinyfood 2020-05-23 04:10 am (UTC)(link)
Entrapta hums thoughtfully. "I guess they might not have the necessary hardware, huh... But, you know, those kinds of modifications are pretty easy to make!"
heterochrocatic: (116 » and now it's left me blind)

[personal profile] heterochrocatic 2020-05-23 04:16 am (UTC)(link)
"How do you know how to make those kind of--" Catra cuts herself off and shakes her head.

"Actually, I don't want to know."
tinyfood: that can be used for Good, or, yn some cases, Evyl. (Seems to me that polytycs)

[personal profile] tinyfood 2020-05-23 05:44 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh." Entrapta lowers the finger she just eagerly raised in anticipation of getting to Explain. She looks a little disappointed. "It's really not that complicated!"
heterochrocatic: (113 » and landed in my eyes)

[personal profile] heterochrocatic 2020-05-23 01:40 pm (UTC)(link)
"No, no, I get that it's not but I'm not sure my brain is ready for what you do with your private robots," Catra says. She sighs, then gives a small, awkward smile.

"I don't know if they'll accept your modifications here, though." Okay, that was mostly a joke.
