 ( 1 ) After leaving the teleportation chamber, you are gently coaxed out of the hospital and encouraged to find a place to stay. Maybe you've had time to check out your A5 app. Maybe you're just settling in. It's cloudy, overcast, cold -- you'll want to seek out someplace warm. Also, your device is beeping. A lot. The tech on the island works, it just doesn't work right. You can't seem to send a message to the correct person. It's time for... Texts From Last Universe( 2 ) What's this? Your bingo card has just been beamed to a stranger's inbox...?! ( sample A5 cards -- NSFW, may contain triggering content, please feel free to use/ignore as you see fit) ( 3 ) And now you're receiving messages from other users that they don't remember sending: Nice shirt. It would look better on my floor. 10/10 would ride it into the sunset. This user thinks you're attractive. u up? 🍆 ( 4 ) Once you figure out that the robots have been hacking your devices, it's no easy feat to track one down and demand they stop. "So The Augur wills!" they wail in a monotone. "So it is done!" Any attempt to actually contact The Augur and get back into the hospital will be met with beefy robot bodyguards, who suggest taking a gentler approach to fix your devices. [He says as if it were obvious. Well, it's obvious to Leona who's known him so long. Rather, he means, the chain of logic is obvious.]
If they want us to do this sort of stuff, [he waves his hand] but then they don't give us anything worth it, then nothing's gonna happen.
[Then again, it was bold to assume he could predict the logic of whatever was in that hospital will all the robo-guards. If there wasn't any logic to it, though, then everything got way more difficult.]

[It's. Really obvious. Well, at least it's obvious to Leona... maybe it isn't obvious to anyone else, though... it should be. It's not like Ruggie hid the fact.]
They could start by giving us somewhere better than these ruins to live in.

When Ruggie starts laughing about Jack being here - partially at his own expense - Leona looks... a little disgruntled, but then he starts picturing what Ruggie is describing, and he can't help but laugh himself.

[Anyways, there's a bit of a delay as Ruggie hops down the stairs and finds the first floor door. He'd been in too much of a rush to try the door when he was running from the aggressive dildo. Turn out it would have been a moot point anyways since the door had a slide-lock. Then again it looked so old that he probably could have busted it off its hinges in a pinch.]

Anyways, Leona's ears flick about, listening to Ruggie run around inside, to the lock clunking open and the door creaking open and... yep, that's where he is, when he calls out. Not someone else whose... house(?) they invaded.
So he just. Casually strolls over and ducks inside, nose wrinkling at the interior almost immediately.]

[Ruggie locks the door behind them, turning to look at the barren, abandoned room. It's spacious enough but it really looks more like walls protecting a chunk of land just as rocky and barren as the land outside. The corners of his lips quirk up slightly when Leona criticizes it.]

It's not a bad spot, though, and it's got an intact second floor. And based on some of the holes over there, [he tilts his head to a side room] it used to have a kitchen at some point.

So, yeah, probably for the best they're on their own, here.
The interior of the place is... really no better than the exterior, and while he had a particular talent for sleeping just about anywhere, that doesn't mean he has to like the lot they've been cast. So: criticism, packaged with something like a backhanded compliment to his companion's home life, as one does.]
I'd rather you visit, if a visit has to happen at all.
[Because. You know. Then he can continue to have all his home comforts and Ruggie can babysit Cheka. A win/win for him.]

Ah, well, it means at some point there was a proper stove and oven like the one in the school kitchens.
[... wait, of course Leona wouldn't know how a stove actually worked. Professor Ruggie's lecture time!]
Usually you've gotta connect a gas line to it or something~ It's easier than wood-burning or anything like that. So, if we can find a stove we should have the stuff there to make it work...
[Which, well, it might be overly optimistic when there was barely anything else in the world. The whole place was desolate and here Ruggie was, talking about how he might be able to fix up the kitchen and make it pop. That was how he worked, though, always looking forward at the next thing he could work towards.]
