![]() ( 1 ) After leaving the teleportation chamber, you are gently coaxed out of the hospital and encouraged to find a place to stay. Maybe you've had time to check out your A5 app. Maybe you're just settling in. It's cloudy, overcast, cold -- you'll want to seek out someplace warm. Also, your device is beeping. A lot. The tech on the island works, it just doesn't work right. You can't seem to send a message to the correct person. It's time for... Texts From Last Universe( 2 ) What's this? Your bingo card has just been beamed to a stranger's inbox...?! ( sample A5 cards -- NSFW, may contain triggering content, please feel free to use/ignore as you see fit) ( 3 ) And now you're receiving messages from other users that they don't remember sending: Nice shirt. It would look better on my floor. 10/10 would ride it into the sunset. This user thinks you're attractive. u up? π ( 4 ) Once you figure out that the robots have been hacking your devices, it's no easy feat to track one down and demand they stop. "So The Augur wills!" they wail in a monotone. "So it is done!" Any attempt to actually contact The Augur and get back into the hospital will be met with beefy robot bodyguards, who suggest taking a gentler approach to fix your devices. If you know what they mean. Wink. (This is your overt kink prompt. Please label any threads accordingly.) Note: All prompts are optional. The theme for this TDM is "malfunctioning devices." They can be fixed by indulging in the squares on your cards. For the sake of the TDM, you can use one of the pre-generated examples or a wildcard from the kink list. This can be used as a free bingo square completion once you have been accepted into the game. Players are welcome to wildcard their own TDM prompts; we only ask that you try to stick to the theme. Talking to you?
no subject
Meet me outside.
( he sends a pic of some broken down building but it's obvious where it is since it's like town center or something idk )
no subject
but it's not too big a city, so he gets to that center soon enough. he keeps a watchful eye at everyone he passes by, and even though he doesn't have his bright red scarf anymore, he stands out pretty easily because he's probably the only one who looks like he doesn't trust anybody around him.
when he gets to the building, he looks it over before seeking someone out loitering around it. ]
no subject
but, anyway. obviously, he's there first and while some people pass he gets the feeling they're not the one he's looking for. finally, though, he spots someone he thinks is his victim. he observes for a few moments, watching, observing, then finally pushes off from where he's ~loitering~ and crosses over to him. )
By the Six, you even stand like you've got a rod up there.
no subject
he's not really sure what to make of that. ]
I could turn right back around, you know
[ yeah, no, he can't really dispute it... he's long since resigned himself to this life ok!!
sighing, he shifts in his spot in an attempt to not look quite so stiff, but all he really does is lean on a leg and cross his arms. so yeah, pretty futile. ]
What did you call me out for?
no subject
reaching out, he slaps his hand against mako's arm and tips his head to the side in a directional gesture. )
FIrst, we're gonna go for a run. ( he shrugs one shoulder ) Figured I'd play it by ear after that.
no subject
[ he says it slowly, deliberately, as if someone speaking it carefully might make it make more sense to him. ]
That's why you called me out here?
[ his gaze slides to the hand on his arm, which definitely jostled him.. but he's pleased to say not by much. ]
I'm confused.
no subject
What's to be confused about? It's running.
( he gestures out in front of them while he speaks. )
Down to that blue building, left until a bunch of rotted tree stumps, left again to a brown building with yellow windows still intact, left again to that white building. If you want to complete the "circle" just go left to the blue building again.
no subject
I know what running is. I'm confused what it's got to do with anything.
[ give him a moment, he's just going to mentally retrace their conversation before it got to this point. ]
Are you trying to help me relax? Working out just gets me going.
no subject
but, he smirks over at him because of that phrasing. )
You really have to stop doing that, but I'm gonna be nice and let that one slide.
( still, he quietly snorts and just murmurs gets me going hahaha to himself. but. anyway. )
There are different kinds of relaxing and you seem way too uptight to be the type to sit down and meditate or read a book.
no subject
raava, maybe he does need to loosen up a little. (this, thankfully, he keeps to himself.) ]
...Fine.
[ honestly, what else did he have to do right now? the town can only be explored so many times before his eyes fall out. with a little huff, he starts to do some light stretches as well. because if he's going to do something, he's going to do it right. ]
Are we racing?
no subject
gladio rumbles a noise in the back of his throat as a sign he's thinking about it and then ultimately: )
Nah. ( he glances over at mako, looking him up and down in an almost clinical assessment. so. don't go getting ur panties in a bunch over it. ) The last thing you need is a competition right now.
no subject
so he just shrugs, turning till he's facing in the direction of their path. ]
Guess you get to keep your pride for a little longer.
[ eheh. he's taking off after that, just starting off with a light jog because they aren't racing here. he doesn't really do leisurely, so his pace is still kind of intense, but he definitely makes it clear he's waiting to gladio to catch up so they can keep pace together. ]
no subject
but whatever. he's half a step behind mako but only for a moment before setting a pace with him. light jogs are always good to start with. )
Nothing wrong with taking pride in a loss. Just means there's room for improvement.
( and gladio? well, he's not in favor of losing and he can get competitive, but, he's a much bigger fan of improvement than he is getting hung up on winning or losing. sometimes. over certain things. don't look into it.
he falls silent for a little bit. these "city" blocks are pretty similar to what he's used to, so he already knows what kind of time he can pull in. he glances over at mako for a brief moment before looking ahead again. )
And even when you reach the top, there's always something else to do to make yourself better. But, ( they're nearing the first turn here and gladio takes off like a shot, his speed definitely belying his size, ) gotta have fun getting there. ( he waves over his shoulder ) See you at the finish line.
no subject
[ not that mako minds, of course. he barely hesitates, even, quickly shifting from that leisurely pace to a full on sprint. unlike gladio, his speed is quite dependent on his much more lithe form...
at least until that turn, when a little burst of flame from the bottoms of his feet propel him forward, overtaking the other. he actually laughs out, throwing a smug grin over his shoulder. eat that, you cheater! ]
no subject
gladio pushes himself to catch up, but as fast as he can be, he probably can't beat a cheating liar buttface jerk. still, he grins as he plugs along. )
Yeah, don't think I didn't see your sad little face about it.
no subject
What sad face? You're seeing things!
no subject
Yeah, sure. ( he doesn't sound convinced and he slows to a light run instead of something with more pressure. he knows he's lost this if they're really racing. ) Definitely didn't see any disappointment at all, right.
no subject
Nothing wrong with a little healthy competition.
no subject
Sure defeats the purpose of relaxing, though.
