TDM 001: TFLU

( 1 ) After leaving the teleportation chamber, you are gently coaxed out of the hospital and encouraged to find a place to stay. Maybe you've had time to check out your A5 app. Maybe you're just settling in. It's cloudy, overcast, cold -- you'll want to seek out someplace warm. Also, your device is beeping. A lot. The tech on the island works, it just doesn't work right. You can't seem to send a message to the correct person. It's time for... Texts From Last Universe ( 2 ) What's this? Your bingo card has just been beamed to a stranger's inbox...?! ( sample A5 cards -- NSFW, may contain triggering content, please feel free to use/ignore as you see fit) ( 3 ) And now you're receiving messages from other users that they don't remember sending: Nice shirt. It would look better on my floor. 10/10 would ride it into the sunset. This user thinks you're attractive. u up? 🍆 ( 4 ) Once you figure out that the robots have been hacking your devices, it's no easy feat to track one down and demand they stop. "So The Augur wills!" they wail in a monotone. "So it is done!" Any attempt to actually contact The Augur and get back into the hospital will be met with beefy robot bodyguards, who suggest taking a gentler approach to fix your devices. If you know what they mean. Wink. (This is your overt kink prompt. Please label any threads accordingly.) Note: All prompts are optional. The theme for this TDM is "malfunctioning devices." And now I guess some people who have randomly texted me. Sorry about that by the way... I've just been getting weird messages all day.

That must be pretty rough.

[ As hard as it's sometimes been for him trying to convince people that he really is from space, so to speak, it would have to be completely different for a kid trying to fit in on a planet like Earth. ]

Trust me, I'm used to it. The place I was stuck in before this one would do the same kind of thing to us. Trying to encourage us to 'get to know each other,' if you know what I mean.

You were some place else?[Oh.

Did they give you a reason behind it or was it just sort of a 'Do as we say' type of deal?

They claimed to be searching for something they called a 'deceit' gene. What having sex has to do with that, I don't know. If you ask me they weren't telling us anything as far as what they actually wanted us for.

These robots are different. Not as controlling, for one. Still feels like an experiment of some kind, like they're trying to see how much they can bribe us into doing these things.

This your first time being away from Earth?

So you were just an experiment in a weird sex thing? I'm sorry... that sounds awful.

But yeah, it feels like that. I wish we had more information on why. A more detailed idea, at least.

No, I've been in space a lot recently, but I think I prefer Earth. How about you?

I'm not gonna say it was great, but it could have been a lot worse. Better than my previous experience as a prisoner.

To me 'home' is more about the people I'm with and less about the planet. When I go back we're going to have to find a new place to settle anyway, since Hosnian Prime was destroyed in the war.

I guess that's a good way to look at it. I've felt the same lately... As long as I have my friends, my fiance... then things are okay.

Although I haven't seen any one of them around here, so I guess I'm going to have to find a new approach to that.

I'm sorry about your home though... and for the war. I've fought in those... you always lose a lot. Is it calmer now at least?

You just can't catch a break, can you? I know there's not going to be any easy solutions to that one, but if there's anything I can do to help, just let me know.

And yeah, I guess it has. Technically it's over, but that doesn't mean we're done. There's still going to be holdouts, and we've got a whole Republic to rebuild. It makes it tough to sit on my ass around here when there's still a lot of work to do.

Hey, it's not all bad. Besides, we're both in a new situation together, right? We should help each other out here first.

It's never that easy, is it? It's a long journey. Hopefully we can get back home soon, so we can finish up whatever work we've got to do, but something makes me doubt it.
