TDM 008: A WALK IN THE THEME PARK

00. Arrival

This time, you come out of the water, the Nameless Island's own inherent energy drawing people in. It's like being suspended between realities and abruptly pushed from behind through a rift in dimensions. It may make you sick, or that might be the motion of the ocean, lifting you to the surface and carrying you to shore.

Waterlogged and covered in sand, new arrivals will be greeted by robots who welcome them with towels and bracelet devices. The A5 card is already loaded up. Feel free to explore the Island, though there isn’t much to see. Most of the buildings are abandoned and in dire need of repair, and beyond the city lingers a thick fog that obscures much of the wilderness from view. Wander too far into this fog, and you will find yourself mysteriously looping back to where you began, your memories of what you were doing and how you got there erased.

With that in mind, it may be wise to stake your claim on a rundown apartment, a tent on the beach, or a bed in the “comfortable” new barracks. Your inventory will be found a day later, wrapped up haphazardly and delivered to each person's makeshift home.

I. SIX FLAGELLANTS

Welcome, one and all, to a thrilling new location! Robots have worked tirelessly to build, from the ground up, what can only be recognizable as an amusement park. You are just in time for the grand opening of Six Flagellants: Great Advagtures!

The Ferris Wheel routinely stops when lovebirds reach the top, waiting for a kiss - or something more daring! - before it starts up again.

Robots warn of the scary Haunted House: a dark building with wall-to-wall creeps, and hot and cold running chills. Flickering ghosts roam the halls, and you may find an eerily realistic Headless Horseman -- who bids you, "Come closer. Give me head," while pointing to yours. Hey, get your mind out of the... Nevermind.

The Carousel is a two-story affair. Nude figures with familiar faces lounge about, waiting to be ridden, and closer inspection proves that they have the faces of your fellow islanders. Hop on your favorite person and take them for a spin!

There are even Bumper Cars, which have the interesting effect of making one feel more aroused with every bump and impact. (It's randomized each time, so don't try to guess based on car color!)

What should be a similar ride, the Teacups, has the robots' madness written all over it instead. They have misunderstood the gentle spin-cycles for dangerous, dizzying loop-the-loops across a wide track. Some would swear that the ride has a supernatural invocation for fear. Others are simply man enough to admit they're afraid.

Lastly, the Tunnel of Love is not what you expect. Although flavored lube and guides to cunnilingus are on each fleshy-log-shaped boat, the motion of the ocean is quite soothing, and there's a pleasant floral scent in the air that causes a light intoxication.

Don't forget to try the food! Similar to the Street Kiosks, there's a ton of faire food: cotton candy, corn dogs, and the like.

Mascot outfits are available and those who wear them will be rewarded generously with credits.

II. LIKE A FIREWORK

The next morning, you receive a message on your device: You are cordially invited to a celebration of skinship at the House of Worship. Please do not dress for the occasion.

If asked about it, the robots will confirm that is not a specific holiday, but a simple joyous event. If you pry, they may even say that the Old Ones often made merry and partook in the pleasures of the flesh - and so too should you.

For an hour, there will be food and drink - alcoholic and aphrodisiac. Then, at the designated time, once the sun has gone down, clothes will be shed and a revelry begun.

As fireworks explode overhead, the different colors send the naked senses reeling:

Red: You are amorous towards the people around you. Yours is a joyous celebration. The Auspicious Acts you offer are happy and lighthearted, full of kisses and sweet nothings.
Orange: You feel bold and adventurous, eager to try something - or someone - new. Your preferred Acts may be dangerous or exciting, perhaps with more than one person.
Yellow: You feel reverence when you watch the fireworks, reverence when you look at your fellow people. You feel blessed to be part of the celebration at the House of Worship, and you make the Acts you complete into Acts of worship. You are all about the spirit of generosity.
Green: You are not here to celebrate. Jealousy is your lot. Uncover a new side of yourself, full of bitterness and resentment, and try an Act that treads the fine line between light and dark.
Indigo: You are proud to celebrate! Those around you are lucky to bask in your presence. You have a newly-minted domineering attitude that makes itself known, and your Acts are likely to be something where you'll come out on top.
Violet: These fireworks make you feel unusual - the opposite of yourself. You are different in all that you want to do, preferring Auspicious Acts that you may not have thought twice about before.

[Ruby looked back over to Kori before nodding.]

I’m sure. It’s just nerves, that’s all. But, I think I’m just excited, that’s all.

[There were a lot of emotions, but she was okay with letting Kori know how she felt.]

Oh, that's good. Kissing someone should always feel exciting.

[ And it put Kori more at ease that Ruby wanted to do it. She let out a soft sound of surprise as the wheel drew to a sudden halt, with their seat right at the top, and turned slightly so she faced Ruby properly. ]

Close your eyes?

Of course.

[With Kori facing Ruby properly, her eyes slid shut, resisting the urge for anything silly like puckering up. She didn’t want to embarrass herself here doing that!]

[ Chances are Kori would've found it cute if she had done that, but this was just perfect too. Reaching out with her free hand, she stroked her fingers down Ruby's jaw, then she tipped her head in with a slight tilt, pressing her lips gently over Ruby's. ]

[Ruby found herself holding her breath a bit as her head tilted and she found Kori’s lips pressed gently against hers. It was such a nice feeling, soft and relaxing. Gently, she would return the kiss, letting her know she accepted it.]

[ There was no need to feel so nervous, really. Excited, Kori could understand. She was pleased when she felt Ruby ease a little more into it and return the kiss, though, a soft hum leaving her as she tilted her head and pressed in a little more, warmth radiating from her palm and against Ruby's skin where she rested it against her cheek. ]

[Ruby hummed herself as she felt the warmth of Kori’s hand on her cheek. Smiling against her lips, she followed suit, tilting just a little bit to give Kori more to kiss as she lifted a hand up to wrap around her neck.

Now she was excited!]

[ It was lovely, the way Ruby eased into the kiss little by little. Kori had no intention of making it too intense, certainly not while they were up here, but a small taste would hardly be a bad thing.

She swiped her tongue lightly across Ruby's lips, curious and inviting, without actually pushing unless the younger woman was fine with deepening the contact between them. ]

[Ruby felt the tongue against her lips, a small breath leaving her nose. She knew what it meant - Kori wanted to go further. She was getting a little more excited now; she wanted this to last longer.

Slowly, her lips parted to give the older woman access. She also started to move closer to Kori, their bodies touching more.]

[ They would have to keep going until the wheel started moving again, at the very least, so for now Kori was all too glad to keep kissing. She smiled against Ruby's lips, tongue darting past them as her mouth parted to give her access, and her hand ran down Ruby's back, resting on her waist and pulling her a little closer.

Not that Ruby seemed to need much encouragement, as she moved closer of her own accord, until their bodies were more pressed against one another. She sucked lightly at Ruby's lower lip, dragging her tongue over it before plunging into her mouth again, tasting her. ]

[Ruby hummed as she felt the woman’s tongue tasting her, suckling her lower lip. Her own tongue danced with Kori’s, trying to slip in to taste her as well.

Her hand moved from Kori’s neck to rest lightly on her chest. Her hand just wasn’t warm, it was her whole body, wasn’t it? Warm and soft... she didn’t want to leave her...]

[ Kori sucked in a breath of her own, surprised yet pleased by the bold touch. Her back arched, clearly inviting the touch, her own hand moving lower to rest on Ruby's hip, just barely above her thigh.

She didn't take things much farther, however, hoping that any moment now the wheel will begin spinning. She would very much like to continue this, she'd even be eager to suggest it, but out here, the chances of getting interrupted were a little greater. She'd rather not have that. ]

[Ruby felt Kori's back move, giving more for Ruby to touch, shivering as she felt her hand resting on her hip. She should apologize for the action, but the return was more than enough to quash the desire.

After a few moments, the car would shake and start to move. It appeared to be more than enough to satisfy it. Reluctantly, Ruby moved to break the kiss, her hands not moving away from Kori at all as she caught her breath.]

That... that was wonderful... really wonderful...

[ Feeling the car jostle and move again made her feel both relieved and disappointed. She was reluctant to let the kiss break, but she wasn't going to push Ruby to continue, eventually pressing a soft peck to her cheek before pulling away entirely. ]

It was. [ She smiled softly, feeling quite warmer all over, still enjoying where Ruby's hands lingered on her. ]

If you would like... I could fly us elsewhere instead. Someplace where we could be alone...

The two of us... alone? [Her cheeks blushed at that as she smiled bashfully.] I would like that. I'm glad I met you...

[Kori was so wonderful, she didn't want the moment to end, honestly. Hopefully, this would mean something more further on, even if it's the two just being friends.]

I'd like that too. [ Well, obviously, since she was the one suggesting it. ] I'm sure we can find somewhere. Do you have a room of your own yet?

[ Kori hadn't really worried about that yet, although she probably should sometime soon. But the tents at the beach were also a nice spot, just maybe a little less comfortable. ]

I picked an apartment when I got here, but my friends and family have a barn they live at, too, so there’s that.

[If they need the alone time, the apartment might be for the best.]

[ Right, not getting interrupted probably would be preferable. ]

The apartment sounds lovely. You'll tell me the way once we make it to the ground and I can fly us there.

[ A pause, she looks out into the distance, then back to Ruby with a glint in her eye. ] Or we can simply get out of this seat and go now.

[Ruby catches the glint in Kori’s eye and grins equally at that.]

I didn’t see any rules suggesting we had to sit the entire way~!

[Maybe now would be a perfect time to show her her own style of flying!]

[ Kori practically beamed, delighted beyond words. Not needing any further encouragement, she simply squeezed herself out of the security bar, then floated up into the air, bursts of green flame glowing around her feet. ]

Let's go, then! [ She offered her hands for Ruby to take. ] Can I help?

[Oh, wow, that was so cool! She had to know more about what she can do! When Kori held out her hands, she took them eagerly.]

Just help me out and I’ll show you how I can fly!

[And once Ruby is free of the security bar, she pushes herself off the car and lets her red cloak swirl around her before she jets up into the air in a flurry of rose petals, returning to normal as she hung in the air briefly.]

Catch me~!

[ Kori was just as amazed by Ruby's display, wide eyes fixed on her as she swirled up into the air, in a beautiful dance of wind and petals. She grinned wide, letting out a little 'oh!' when Ruby called out to her.

It didn't take long at all for Kori to speed towards her, arms reached out as she carefully took hold of Ruby, her weight not hindering her in the slightest as she carried her. ]

That was beautiful.

[Ruby laughed as Kori caught her, her arms wrapping around her neck as she felt safe in her arms.]

I’m glad you think so. Maybe one day I’ll be able to fly longer.

[ Kori was more than happy to take Ruby on a wide spin over the park. As much as she was eager to be alone with her, there was absolutely no harm in having some fun before then. It wasn't like they were in any sort of rush, after all. ]

You can always come fly with me until then.

[ He leaned in to kiss Ruby again. Because she felt like it now, not so much because she had to. ]

I’d be happy to! Just tell me when, and I’ll come with.

[And as Kori kissed her, Ruby returned it in kind. There was no more nervousness or bashfulness in this kiss. You could say she had a place in her heart for the woman now.]
