| TDM 002: IF FOUND PLEASE RETURN TO |
( 1 ) Around mid-morning, a message from the Augur appears on bracelets all across the city. "New organisms discovered. Domestication in progress." ![]() The wark of a chocobo rises up from the outskirts of the city. Several more join in, forming a charming chorus. And, strangely, this is when new arrivals begin to show up. Beamed in one at a time, scanned en masse, they are processed just as the first wave was. There's one major difference: whereas the old guard was given their bracelets and ushered into the City, the new folks are also given... collars. Buckled, snapped, or otherwise fastened around their necks, a variety of colorful collars with some rather unusual novelty pet tags. (These are just a few suggestions. The typical “If found, please return to ____” is also very much acceptable.) ![]() "You are new organisms. Domestication in progress. Compatible Eros energy will complete domestication." No matter how hard they try, characters cannot take the collars off by themselves. They need a partner's help - but not just anyone will do. It very well might be the first person they find, or it might take several tries. The robots grow bolder as the day grows on, targeting characters who aren't new, as well. "Y̶o̶u̴ ̸a̷r̸e̷ ̵o̵r̵g̶a̴n̷i̷s̶m̸s̶.̶ ̶D̷o̶m̴e̴s̶t̶i̶c̵a̸t̶i̸o̴n̸ ̷i̵n̸ ̴p̸r̶o̵g̷r̵e̷s̵s̷." Their antics die down by nightfall, but for the next day or two, the occasional malfunctioning 'bot may accost someone in the street, so stay on your toes! ![]() ( 2 ) An abandoned racetrack lights up the night. That's right: place your bets, folks, because these birds are about to run around a track while robots sell synthetic, overpriced aphro-popcorn. ...Did you say priced? That’s right! If you participated in the orgy earlier this month, you'll find you have a stash of credits accessible in your app. You've fucked money back into the world, so why not waste it? (Opportunities to earn credits will come up periodically and won't always be sexual in nature, so don't worry if your character wouldn't have any yet.) And if you don't have credits to bet with, why not get creative? N A V I G A T I O N |

I still haven't seen s3 yet, but I guess I'll have to /cry
I think I can manage waiting for a bit. Seems we have a lot of time on our hands here.

I think they're hoping we'll find something to occupy it.

[Last he checked, she was happily passing her time with Luke. And he was happy for her. She deserved someone good. Luke, for all that he was another enhanced like him, was a good guy. And could block her from bullets. Always a plus.]

A little on the spot, I guess? I hesitate to say violated, but I'm not exactly comfortable with it.
[ she'd be surprised to hear that, but mostly at just how far behind she is from him and everyone else. ]

[Sex should always be a choice, and nudging or forcing people into it for any reason was setting off a lot of his alarm bells. More so when it was directed at people he knew and gave a crap about.]
Do you plan on avoiding them?

[ kind of makes her wonder if the manner they've arrived is totally safe. she feels fine, but given the state of where they've ended up she's not totally confident they'll remain that way. ]

[That changed the way he was listening, searching for any sounds of distress, not that he knew what good he'd be against robots. Hell, he wasn't entirely sure he was fighting fit after what had happened. He didn't feel any injuries, but he did feel a little... off. Matt hadn't exactly had time to adjust to the situation.]
lmk if this is okay or not!
[ an inadvertent hint that they're from different times. claire comes upon the building and spots matt, and her footsteps pause before they start coming closer, at much quicker pace than before.
she hadn't expected him to be in great shape, considering how he'd been last she'd seen him, and oddly enough he doesn't look as if there are any major injuries, but it's clear that he was involved in something he's disheveled and dirty, dust and debris covering his clothes and hair. her heartbeat picks up in speed, concern flooding into her voice as she speaks again. ]
God, Matt, what happened to you? Where were you before you got here?
Hey, she's seen him look worse. He's just dirty.
[He's wearing his lawyer suit, not his vigilante one, and it's a little dusty and disheveled, but straightening up his appearance hadn't been his priority. He'd arrived here without injury, somehow, but he remembered being hurt. He couldn't smell blood on himself, couldn't feel any wounds, but he remembered having them. It was, all in all, incredibly confusing. Particularly in waking up in a suit.
But he was concerned about her at the moment, his senses flicking over her to read if she was injured or hurt in any way.]
Something about Midland, but I'm not sure I want to go into it right now. Doesn't seem relevant.
