[He doesn't have to be loud for Lucas to hear him; his hearing is incredibly acute even in this form. He looks at the source of the voice, scenting the air as he strolls over to him with a smile. Does he smell entirely human? Angry? As tired as he looks?]

'Lo, Jon. You barely made a game of it. I'm supposed to have to work to find you.

[The smile is affable, as is the manner in which it's given. As he comes closer, he'll be looking for any signs of distress or fear. Body language gives away more than some people realize, but that might be because most people rely on vocalization.]
