[ It's not in absolutely perfect condition. He can tell even without BB-8's commentary on everything he's going through, but it doesn't sound like anything that can't be fixed. Nothing that would stop it from getting in the air, and right now that's about as much as Poe's looking for. Maybe he should be jumping at the first possible chance he could have at getting out of this place, but he knows it's not as simple as taking off in a random direction. It doesn't have an unlimited amount of fuel, and even with the hyperdrive, they have to know where they're going before they launch blindly into space. And all of that is to say nothing about the fact that he's not sure yet if they wouldn't be abandoning people who haven't yet crossed over through the hospital the way they did. [ He can't argue with it being a notable thing. He remembers the first time he got to see an x-wing up close, and that was a day that stuck with him. It's impossible to extricate them from all the stories he immersed himself in growing up, and after fighting in one himself, there's just a lot of meaning to them for him now. And none quite as much as this one, which got him through Exegol. ]
What do you say we make it even better? [ He reaches in, picking up the helmet that's lying on the pilot's seat and offers it down toward her. It might not be possible for his expression to be any brighter than it is now. ] Wanna fly with me?
