TDM 012: SLINGING IN THE RAIN |
00. Arrival![]() You come out of the water, the Nameless Island's own inherent energy drawing people in. It's like being suspended between realities and abruptly pushed from behind through a rift in dimensions. It may make you sick, or that might be the motion of the ocean, lifting you to the surface and carrying you to shore. Waterlogged and covered in sand, new arrivals will be greeted by robots who welcome them with towels and bracelet devices. The A5 card is already loaded up. If you don’t manage to get away from them quickly enough, they may even usher you toward the Laid Bare Spa, where new arrivals will be offered free massages, a sauna, hairstyling, and their clothing may come up permanently missing. But you will be given a complimentary towel to leave with if needed! Feel free to explore the Island, though there isn’t much to see beyond what arrivals before you have helped to rebuild. Most of the buildings are abandoned and in dire need of repair, and beyond the city lingers a thick fog that obscures much of the wilderness from view. Wander too far into this fog, and you will find yourself mysteriously looping back to where you began, your memories of what you were doing and how you got there erased. With that in mind, it may be wise to stake your claim on a place to live in the now, whether a rundown apartment in the City, a tent on the beach, a bed in the barracks, or your own space at the House of Worship. Your inventory will be found a day later, wrapped up haphazardly and delivered to each person's makeshift home. I. THUNDERBOLTS AND LIGHTNING![]() Erku's new arrivals may not be the only residents left dripping wet. Although the weather on the Island is almost always dreary, clouds begin to multiply and darken over the days before that first arrival, turning ominous shades of purple and blue which may look familiar to Islanders who have been around since Erku's beginnings. Perhaps robots will advise Islanders to fortify their shelters and get ready to accept refugees, and they hope their charges take the warnings to heart! When the rain finally falls, it is a non-stop torrent. Even though the weather is warm, the rain itself chills to the bone. Shacks and beach tents won't stand up to the downpour for long, and the shabby apartments may leak and flood. New arrivals who aren't handy enough to make quick repairs may be forced to take shelter in the homes of current Island residents, or else huddle together in the 12 rooms of the barracks for the full week that rain falls on the Island. Cats, dogs, and little dragons will also be begging Islanders for a warm place to stay! Beware of lightning strikes, too, because the skies rumble with thunder throughout the storm. Buildings and residences are frequently damaged by strikes. They say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, and that's very true on Erku - Islanders who are struck by the lightning might find themselves temporarily blessed with god-like super strength. Such power might not always be a good thing for those who aren't used to wielding it, so please be careful not to damage your friends or property! Islanders may choose to keep their new powers, but a bingo square can be used to wish them away. II. A TASTE OF ERKU![]() In need of shelter and credits? Then the robots have a task for you! Erku's robot population has taken note of how much Islanders seem to love the humble potato, and they want to contribute! Ready as always to please, the robots have filled the hospital cafeteria with mountains of potatoes in every imaginable variety and color: russet, red, gold, purple, chartreuse, sweet, savory, spicy, and so many more! But wait, there's more: they have provided knives, cutting boards, and peelers too, and are eager to see Islanders work their magic in their open cafeteria kitchen! Robots will monitor every dish produced, as they are eager to improve their food replication repertoire. No worries if you aren't culinarily skilled, however. Islanders will be rewarded in credits for whatever they can contribute, whether it's a gourmet meal or simply a basket of peeled potatoes. Robot-provided potato preparations are also freely available to snack on while you work, though as always, they're liable to be spiked with something to encourage Islanders to get more "friendly" with one another. Of particular note is an invention the 'bots are quite proud of, sure to delight your organic tastebuds: the potato cocktail, which packs quite a punch and - strangely enough - tastes just like a hearty steak dinner? III. NOSTALGIA FOODS![]() Seeking a bit of refuge and some comforting food to warm you up? Signs and flyers are out informing residents of the Straight From Home Special going on right now at the Flashbang diner! Come In For All The House Favorites! For the next few days anyone can walk in and receive a free meal (or two if you’re really nice) from the robot cooks behind the counter! And it just so happens that they know exactly what you want. You will be served a meal of your favorite foods from home just the way you like them. Did you tell them? No. How did they know? Don’t bother asking, they’ll just say that the Cook Always Knows. The robot waitresses will make sure your drinks are topped up and you have everything you need, just like any hometown diner or pub you may have heard of. Eating any of the foods will bring out such nostalgia. Feelings of fondness, sadness, longing, anything when you think about the memories of your past and even of recent events. You won’t be able to stop yourself from sharing those thoughts and feelings with those around you. You’ll want to talk about your life, your opinions on the weather, the sex you just had last night and in great detail. The waitresses are listening and so is everyone else nearby. When you leave the diner you might just have to keep on sharing your thoughts about anything that comes to mind. Walk by someone you think is attractive? You’ll have to tell them. Don’t like someone’s outfit? Definitely have to tell them. Suddenly remembering having sex on the beach? Maybe the person next to you on the trolley won’t mind hearing all about it! The effects of the nostalgia will last for half a day or until the completion of an auspicious act. N A V I G A T I O N |

He gave Senku a wicked smirk instead, and kept playing into this game they've slipped into. "Considering I don't know what you or this ritual is capable of? I don't really think I know what I need mercy from. Go ahead and do your worst, Senku-chan~"
no subject
He hummed lightly. "Now then, let's see how this feels."
He grasped Gen's ankle and wrapped the silk around, just above the joint itself, tying it so it's snug and then he pokes at his toes.
"Flex for me, if you lose circulation that's not going to be fun."
no subject
"I don't feel anything pinching, my dear - I'll let you know if it feels like it'll slip and become unintentionally tight," Gen hummed, and actually, that was a good point. "I'll tell you to pause if I notice something strange, hmm?"
no subject
"You've had enough damage done to your body as of late." He commented dryly, don't think he didn't notice that Gen. "So we don't need to inflict more. Also that's not within the parametres of what we're doing here."
no subject
- but it was also a bit of a mood killer.
So instead, he squirmed a little now, misbehaving, setting his hands temporarily behind his head until Senku tugged them back into place. "Then clearly I'll have no reason to cry mercy ..."
(Gen would analyze if he actually wanted some kind of painful punishment later. Thank goodness it wasn't actually on the table so he didn't need to consider it now. All of these new, kinky things ... he might need to take a long think and figure out what he was into ... or just experiment a bunch with Senku, since it seemed to be working out well so far.)
no subject
"I see, you're choosing torment then. That has been thoroughly observed and noted." Senku informed him as he tugged one leg wide so he could secure the binding to the bed, which was conveniently designed for such a thing.
Then he did the same with the other, giving a bit of a pointed yank at that.
no subject
Yes, research was needed.
He gave Senku a knowing smirk back. "I guess that's what this ritual should be designed to do, as you've mentioned - testing the loyalty of your General."
no subject
"First I have to secure you." Senku moved slowly this time, each step seeming like a threat or a promise. The first thing he did was put one hand on Gen's other side and dipped down to swirl his tongue over that new scar. He saw it Gen. They'd talk about it more later.
"And since you seem so relaxed like that, I think I'm feeling...inspired."
no subject
Gen was surprised by the sudden attention to the scar - it was just a little tender - which definitely made it more sensitive. He squirmed just a bit as Senku licked there. Pushing things quite a bit - or just encouraging Senku's mood - he reached out with his unbound hands, to gently stroke Senku's ears.
"But don't you like it when my hands are free, Senku-chan?"
no subject
"Now that was naughty." He informed him with a bit of a chuckle and grabbed onto one of Gen's arms, swooping in to pin it above his head.
"Other wrist. Give it to me." It wasn't because he couldn't grab it, but rather he wanted Gen to do it.
no subject
He needed to know.
Moving his hand back behind his head, he said craftily, "I think I'm quite comfortable as I am, my dear."
no subject
"I think you'll find you need to give me that, lest this ritual not work and then where would we be, hm?" He practically purred the words.
no subject
He wanted to be tied down, he was discovering. Not just for the Augur's sake. He let Senku pull his hand into position, head hitting the mattress.
"Oh, fine, if it's for the ritual's sake," Gen teased, his smile playful. "I guess I don't have any real say in how it goes when I'm trussed up like this, do I?"
no subject
Once he had him secure he offered him a slow smirk. "None whatsoever."
no subject
At the moment, he wasn't about to try and escape. That wasn't the game they were playing, here. Gen resisted the urge to blush or squirm from that smirk - such a promising expression - and gave Senku a sly smile instead.
"Is there an oath, then, that I'll need to recite? To correct my lapsed loyalty to our kingdom?"
no subject
"You need to repeat after me then." Oh boy, this should be interesting. He was not a wordsmith.
"I'm sorry, Chief Senku, for being such a brat while getting set up with the ritual, and I would never do anything to jeopardize it, or the kingdom..." He started.
no subject
But that speech. Gen started to giggle, quite a bit, losing his composure entirely.
"I'm sorry, Senku-chan," Gen said in between his laughter, "sorry, it's - okay, let me try again. Well. Do I really have to apologize yet? I don't feel particularly sorry, after all~"
no subject
No, he could totally believe Gen was laughing at him. He was by far the general with the most cheek after all.
"I'm not sure I'm terribly good at this."
no subject
He shrugged a little. "It's inevitable as we experiment that we'll find - trying out some of the Augur's little squares - that there's some that don't fit us."
no subject
"I think I'll use this to make you squirm and moan how I like...and make you wait." He grinned.
"I believe begging was an option, wasn't it~?" He asked in an all too innocent tone.
no subject
There’s something about being made to wait which was illogically appealing. Maybe it’s part of the appeal of Senku having him like this while he smiled deviously?
“I mean, is it going to count if I lie and pretend to give in early,” Gen tried to keep a playful tone, no matter how much he wanted to blush and whine already. Why were these ears so sensitive? He continued, “or are they going to want my begging to be genuine?”
Senku, at least, would probably be able to tell the difference.
no subject
"Oh? You think I can't make you beg? I bet I could." He smirked at him. "But that's for later. We have so many other things to get to, as long as you can't free yourself right now."
Senku was teasing a little bit about that, because Gen might actually be able to.
no subject
- It's probably not a very effective lie, but he's still playing along.
"Ah, I don't think I could hope to get free -" his hands were tied behind his head, wrists together - it wouldn't be too hard to slip out of them. Made easier by the fact Senku wouldn't see before it was too late. But ... but Gen didn't want to get free. He wanted to be at Senku's mercy.
He wanted, a bit, to be so aroused by this whole thing he'd forget he could escape for a while, Gen realized. Which was, huh. Something to unpack later.
"I'm at your mercy, my dear ..."
no subject
Without preamble, Senku took his attention a different way, using his fingers to try and tickle Gen around his ribs and abdomen, to see if he could get him writhing and laughing.
"There's fantastic side effects to this..."
no subject
"Ah! Sen - " he's also giggling - "Sen-ku-chan, not - not fair!"
Of course as noted before, he didn't have much range here - there's nowhere for him to escape to. Nowhere for him to leave from those merciless fingers. Gen was vulnerable, twisting helplessly beneath Senku.
Rubbing his ears had aroused him - he'd begun to get hard - this kept him there, albeit for different reasons. The same reasons? Gen couldn't spare a braincell to unpack this.
"Senku-" Gen's tone already was begging even if he wasn't actually asking.
