TDM 009: I'M IN LIKE WITH YOU

00. Arrival

This time, you come out of the water, the Nameless Island's own inherent energy drawing people in. It's like being suspended between realities and abruptly pushed from behind through a rift in dimensions. It may make you sick, or that might be the motion of the ocean, lifting you to the surface and carrying you to shore.

Waterlogged and covered in sand, new arrivals will be greeted by robots who welcome them with towels and bracelet devices. The A5 card is already loaded up. Feel free to explore the Island, though there isn’t much to see. Most of the buildings are abandoned and in dire need of repair, and beyond the city lingers a thick fog that obscures much of the wilderness from view. Wander too far into this fog, and you will find yourself mysteriously looping back to where you began, your memories of what you were doing and how you got there erased.

With that in mind, it may be wise to stake your claim on a rundown apartment, a tent on the beach, or a bed in the “comfortable” new barracks. Your inventory will be found a day later, wrapped up haphazardly and delivered to each person's makeshift home.

I. STARGAZER

On the first night that new arrivals wash ashore, the moon rises. It's full and beautiful and surrounded by stars.

The robots quickly bring old, dusty telescopes out of storage and line them up on the beach to help people get a truly spectacular view.

"Look to the heavens! Behold, the chicken, the cat, the owl, the donkey!"

It's... the cock, the pussy, the hooters, and the ass. For the rest of the night, characters will become fixated on the specific asset associated with the constellation they've gotten an eyeful of.

Whether this leads to some body worship or just casual appreciation is up to you.

II. STIMULATING CONVERSATION

An ancient courting ritual has been announced! It involves the give-and-take of candy hearts with slogans printed on them. Of course, since these hearts are being manufactured by robots, their sense of taste is a little... off? Or perhaps off-putting?

"You'll do."

"Acceptable."
"Sloppy Seconds."

Receiving a negative heart makes one feel insecure, jealous, and submissive.

"Be mine."
"Nicest ass."
"Swell bulge."
"They're good lays, Bront."

Receiving a positive heart will make one feel confident, boastful, and dominant.

Your friendly neighborhood 'bots will give them out to anyone who asks - and maybe even those who don't.

III. Eat Or Dare

The robots have set up a stall by the beach with a banner that reads: Eat Or Dare. They have procured bigger candy hearts than ever before -- fist-sized and larger -- with actions written on them instead of derogatory slogans.

"Take a dive."
"Lick me."
"Get handsy."

The name of the game is to follow the instructions or forfeit the challenge by making the evidence disappear into your mouth. Delicious!

Those who eat the candy hearts will feel themselves getting giddy and unreasonably invested in the love affairs of others. They will feel compelled to play matchmaker to spread the cheer.

After taking a moment to vomit a lungful of seawater, Jean, immediately goes into Mission Mode. The first unfortunate truth is that, while he's in his uniform, his 3 Dimensional Maneuver Gear is conspicuously missing. It makes him feel naked and vulnerable, and his first instinct is to find cover and wait. So he does. For several hours.

It takes that long for him to truly trust that he's not in immediate danger. Still, he explores the area on full alert. Eventually, he happens upon the barracks, and is somewhat comforted to find all his gear when he wakes up the next morning. Not that he really needs it anymore, but still.

He doesn't understand how the A5 works. At all. Things with screens didn't exist yet in his world, and computers of any kind were unheard of. To him, it's nothing more than a bracelet he can't get off. If you're willing to help him learn how to use it, he'd be grateful. And maybe a little mortified at the same time.

I.

(For all of these prompts, it's safe to assume that Jean was coerced or tricked in some way into participating. He's incredibly wary as a baseline, and all this craziness going on only makes it worse.)

At least the stars are pretty? Jean gets a good look at the Owl and the Donkey. Now, he tends to be horny-on-main, so it's not unusual for him to notice someone with a particularly good set of either endowment, but he can tell that it's a little worse than usual when it's hard to stop. Catch him in the act quick, or else he's liable to retreat!

Hungry for any kind of food, and yet to figure out that there's a lewd catch to everything here, Jean eat some negative hearts. The first thing he notices is that, wow, those are gross. Second, he finds himself feeling weirdly shy. Something as small as eye contact is liable to make him blush. But he's strangely... Happy about it? Okay. That's new.

Again, he was probably tricked into this, but Jean gets one of the following messages: Let Get Busy, First Kiss, and Take my Heart.

Honestly, those damn hearts are so disgusting that he's really reluctant to eat them, even if the results are embarrassing. It wouldn't take much persuading to get him to participate in the dare.

Colette is, shall we say, petite. Skinny. You could pick her up and stuff her in your pocket, except that she can fly and pick up people twice her weight. But at least she's been blessed with her ass starting to really fill in, although it's harder for her to notice than where she's not growing.

So there's a booty for him to look at, at least while she's bent over enough that her dress isn't covering it, looking down at something in the sand - but she notices the sound of footsteps, and glances back and up at her observer.

Smiling up at Jean, she waves.

Oh, a cute, small blonde? Jean was probably already checking her out before he ever looked through the telescope. Her sweet face and gorgeous hair reminded him a bit of Historia back when she was still pretending to be Krista. All the boys in the barracks owed their wet dreams to that particular beauty.

When she bent over, Jean tilted his body to the side well (he's very tall, he has to bend in some way to keep her in his line of sight) but when she turned around he snapped back to standing up straight. Did she see him staring? Oh shit, she definitely saw him-- but if he didn't return her wave, he'd look even more suspicious...

Barely able to make eye contact, he raised his hand in greeting as well.

He's got very good taste, apparently. Colette had no idea that he was checking her out at first, though, while she enjoyed the cool night air and the sound of the waves, and she still wasn't thinking about him checking her out when she noticed Jean. He did seem to be looking pretty closely at her...

Standing up straight, she turned to make her way over to Jean. He seemed friendly enough! "Hi there! Did you just wash up too?"

Oh hell, she approached. Oh fuck. Despite finding her highly attractive, Jean was still a social disaster. How do you casually converse with a girl again? He rarely interacted with people outside of the Survey Corps, and I'm sure you can imagine that career soldiers really aren't that great at small talk.

"Uh, yeah," he crossed his arms over his chest while trying, and mostly failing, to avert his eyes. "It's uh... Definitely something that's never happened to me before. You seem... Adjusted?"

All he has to do is talk about whatever comes to mind! Clearly that wouldn't be a disaster, right after staring at her butt.

Jean seemed shy, though, so Colette didn't crowd his personal space, stopping a short distance away. "I still don't know how in the world I fell into an ocean." She was inland. "But panicking... won't do me any good. I'm looking on the bright side. That I'm okay, and I have a place to stay."

And she had a sweet personality? This was definitely starting to skirt on wet dream territory, mostly due to the improbability of it all. This never happened to him back home, ever.

"So you're alright?" Jean couldn't help but feel protective towards her, as a bigger, stronger (or so he thought) guy. "That's good. Despite all the-- robots, running around? The buildings are kinda falling apart, and it's hard to find food."

He still didn't understand how to use the A5, or knew that it could be used at all. He's barely eaten since arriving.

Tooth-rotting sweet. Hope he doesn't mind airheads. Colette was happy to befriend a tall, shy fellow like Jean. At the very least, they all needed to stick together. "I can take care of myself. Um, I could... probably help you with the food as well, too." In that she was pretty sure she could turn off her need for food if she thought about it really hard and share her rations? She'd never done it one purpose, though.

"And there are plenty of helpful people here." Who you can bang. To get more privileges.

The perks of being a literal angel.

"I couldn't take your food, but maybe you could tell me where to find some for myself? Something other than those gross heart-pellets they've been handing out."

Or maybe tell him how to get some by banging. Then he'd really be convinced on the wet dream front.

It was convenient. It was terrifying, to think of losing parts of herself again, but she could take risks for the sake of others if she needed to. "Oh! There are places to get basic food supplies in the town, from the robots." That wasn't the best food, but...

"...some of the other food... I-I think you need to - oh, have you heard what we're... expected to do?" she asked with a nervous laugh.

Being good food or not wasn't an issue for him, he was used to rations. Just not fucking Necco Wafers. Those things made him feel sick after awhile.

"What we're expected to do?"

Well, that answered the question pretty succinctly.

Too much candy was worrying. Colette didn't even want to try to eat one of the big hearts in one sitting - that was way too much sugar for her.

Still. This was... interesting. Colette had had things explained to her by others, but now she was helping someone else out already! Which meant that her face flushed, thankfully hidden by the lack of light. "Ah. ...this place is in a world that was nearly destroyed. Apparently, we were brought here to help restore it, but..." She took a breath. "The secret to doing so is... sexual intercourse." Which is crazy but she has no reason to believe that it's not possible.

Jean's lack of experience with technology kind of shot him in the foot here, so he was out of the loop so far. She was getting a little quiet, so he leaned in to try and hear her better. And even when she finished, he was not entirely convinced, but he was thoroughly mortified. He took a quick step back and covered his mouth with one hand.

"...This can't be real," he had to conclude, although he didn't entirely believe himself either. "I'm having a really, really elaborate sex dream here. One that I'm not waking up from! Or I'm dead. I could totally be dead!"

Jean didn't remember exactly what happened to him before he got here, so. He could be? This was also the sort of outlandish fantasy he would have thought up in his early teens. He smacked his face with both palms several times, but all it did was hurt, not wake him up.

"It's too perfect. This girl is too perfect! This doesn't happen!"

Colette was, mostly, good at seeming like she needed help, and having people reach out to her. It meant that she'd gotten the explanation already, even if the reason why that would make any kind of difference evaded her. Nice people were vouching that it seemed to be the case - and at the very least it made life more comfortable here to gain things.

"You aren't dead..." she assured him, because then she would be dead too. Maybe she WAS just a figment of his imagina...tion...

...he kept talking. "W-w-wait, um, I'm... I'm not..." Perfect? Perish the thought! Talk about sex all you want instead.

Perfect at first glance, at least! In the way that she was suspiciously his type in many different areas.

"Look at you!" Jean made a gesture at... all of her. Panic was starting to wear at his inhibitions, "Blonde hair, blue eyes, small, but with a great ass-- you are exactly the kind of person I'd think up as a fantasy! And then we're supposed to have sex for some really contrived reason? That's way too unreal!"

No, she can't accept that. Her self-esteem refused to let itself be buoyed THAT much when she was skinny and clumsy and not very academically accomplished-

Her eyes went wider as Jean's inhibitions vanished. "G-g-g-great ass?!" she repeated, one of her hands going to her own backside. No one was ever so crude with her. Certainly not Zelos. But...

Jean lives in kind of a shithole world, okay? Basically anywhere else is a upgrade, and the attractiveness of people kind of follows that trend. She's a lovely JRPG beauty that was create specifically for boys to fantasize over, which was more than enough for him, and he was going to treat her as such! And besides, all of that Chosen stuff wouldn't mean anything to him even if she explained it!

"Of course! Like-- how do you even keep your hair that perfect? Do you brush it for hours or something?" Even noblewomen don't have that kind of times on their hands, right? "Hell, go ahead! Since when has a girl in my dreams even touched me?"

He was the type of person that had a naughty dream, woke up before any kind of climax, and then spent the day pent-up and grumpy. He gladly offered her his hand, if she wanted it, And she was also welcome to notice that he was built like a whip-- tall, lean, but muscled all the way through from his training with the 3D Maneuver Gear. It took nearly superhuman levels of strength to use properly.

Ah, what would Jean be like in a kinder, gentler world with video games? Simping over video game characters and vtubers? Colette knew nothing of a world like that, only that she was tiny and wanted to be slightly more mature. But she'd gotten this very decent looking man's attention so locked onto her that it was overwhelming. "I-I do brush it a lot. I do try to use the right oils and tonics on it when I can get them, but I'll need to look for whatever they have here..." Of course, a Chosen One was just blessed with perfect hair anyways.

"...before I do that, um. I'm Colette." It didn't feel right to pinch someone without an introduction first. Then she took in the sight of him. Strong, like a fighter not a laborer.

She reached out and pinched his hand; not too hard, but enough to sting.

Jean would be the head simp, the apex fuckboy. So I'm kind of glad he isn't actually from a world like that.

Colette. Fuck, even her name was cute.

"It's Jean," he replied as a reflex. With his hand in hers, she may notice that his palms were covered in the sort of callouses a swordsman would have. He barely registered the pain of being pinched, He'd broken nearly every bone in his body at some point in his life, and he had a very high tolerance.

"Yeah, see? Nothing. Tho' it was a wimpy pinch."

Jean would go broke as a joke.

Colette nodded at his replied introduction. "Jean." A simple, strong name for a strong man. One with callouses much like Lloyd's. One who barely noticed being pinched, like he's been hurt far worse, far too often. Of course people would have to fight for survival in any world, wouldn't they? There was simply no way for everyone to avoid it forever...

She giggled at Jean insulting her pinching skills. "Is it enough to convince you that this isn't a dream?"

A total gamer girl bathwater drinker.

Colette's Sylvarant was not an easy place to live, but the island of Paradis would give it more than a run for it's money. If only there was some kind of Chosen that could solve all the problems of the Eldian race. Eren maybe thought he was, but, uh, talking any more about that would veer straight into spoilersville.

"I dunno. Maybe it's more like a coma...

To be fair, the Chosen 'solution' wasn't one at all - just delaying the inevitable while a sad immortal child tried to undo a tragedy. But at least Lloyd was used to dual-wielding, that might benefit him there.

"That just sounds about as unlikely as what's in front of us." At least to Colette, who's traveled between multiple worlds. "...at any rate, I think you get more... resources if you play along. That's what seems to be the case."

She was strangely too okay with everything that was going on here, but that might just be part of the fantasy!

"...Well, that's fucked up," he realized, now that he had a moment to think about it. "Isn't that like, forcing people?"

He was still a good enough guy to know rape and coercion were generally nasty things to do.

It was more part of Colette's ability to be resigned to personal suffering if she had an avenue for helping people. Possibly the airheadedness as well; but mostly, she was good at ignoring her own discomfort, far too well.

"...it worries me. You can get by without it, of course, but it's not really much of a choice, is it?" On the other hand, the idea of restoring a world that way seems weirdly easy, once she starts.

After a couple of minutes talking to a real human being, that also acted like a proper human being (despite being way too cute for this world) some of the tension of the moment drained out of him. He took a step away so he could fall back on his ass with a sigh. He still had to pointedly keep his eyes away from Colette's ass though.

"I guess if both people really don't care..."

He fell into that category in most situations. Once he grew older, he began to learn how to steal moments with other Corps men (and women) when he could, with whoever he could. He wasn't a virgin, but he wasn't that experienced either. He usually stuck to the same two or three partners though.
