I. BEACH ![]() Welcome arrivals, new and old! The skies on Erku may be perpetually gray, but the weather has taken a sudden turn to summertime heat. Fortunately, soaring temperatures have chased away more of the strange fog that conceals so much of the island, unveiling a charming, sandy cove dotted here and there with rustic love shacks. These shabby little lean-tos are dusty and sparse, but they provide everything one (or two, wink wink) might need for a little relief from the sun. Just don’t wander too far... that fog has memory-loss properties. II. DRINKS ![]() The 'bots are very apologetic about the whole fog incident, and they are trying to get on the new arrivals' good sides by giving out fancy drinks. Of course, they still haven't mastered the art of making things properly, so each drink has a little something... extra.
III. SNACKS ![]() Lo! As you ask, the Augur shall provide. Thanks to the efforts of your organic predecessors in restoring the planet’s Eros energy, edible fishes and seaweeds have returned to the ponds and the shores of Erku. If you fancy yourself savvy to basic survival skills, why not fashion up a fishing rod and catch yourself dinner? Just be careful if you happen to hook one of the octopus creatures from the deeper waters - they can be quite forward with their tentacles! Or, if primitive angling isn’t in your repertoire, you can always trade some credits for a tasty catch from one of the food stalls along the coast. Most stalls are manned by 'bots, but there’s nothing stopping an enterprising arrival from setting up shop. No credits? No problem! The robots have also provided a bit of entertainment, and any volunteers to man the kissing booth, get dunked in the wet t-shirt dunk tank, or grill up some fish - among other opportunities - will find credits automatically loaded onto the payment app of their bracelet devices. The 'bots are recruiting especially hard for participants to work in the gloryhole tent! IV. SPARKLES ![]() As dusk descends, the white sands of the beach suddenly come alive with glittering lights. It’s as if the darkened waters have carried a thousand shining stars from the depths of the sea to the shores of the cove. In actuality, each little twinkle is a bioluminescent plankton or jellyfish! Feel free to wade among them and admire their shine; even the sting of the jellies won’t hurt you... though they do pack a different punch. The tentacles of the jellyfish elicit a powerful aphrodisiac response, which gets the heart racing and the blood pumping for an intimate touch. The effects come on within a matter of minutes, and last for a few hours. Only time will relieve the symptoms, but a partner will help to make it more bearable. N A V I G A T I O N |

it's making Peter feel especially underdressed. though granted he's always dressed terribly, so maybe that's why. he's actually abandoned most of his usual 6 layers to only a t-shirt out of necessity, it's pretty hot on the beach. it's always weird to show his arms, as nothing about Peter Parker suggests he'd be a gymrat. even after years of spider superpowers, he still hasn't thought up a good excuse for having abs.
his dark eyes skeptically scan the booth's designation — kissing booth, huh? of course that's a thing here — before he pays attention to Klavier proper. )
Yeah? You need a break or something? ( Peter is not going to offer to take over his post, but he can just... stand here and keep an eye on it if Klavier needs a drink or to stretch his legs. granted, there does not seem to be anything that needs to be watched, but hey. Peter is a nice guy. he's willing to hear Klavier out. )
no subject
at least his clothes might make him a little more enticing to potential customers. (in his mind, his clothes are only half of the spectacle. because he's a rock star and therefore is like that.) ]
Ah, another good Samaritan? My fellow hostages here are so helpful. You're not the first person to offer me such a thing.
[ he stands tall behind the booth, slipping his thumb through a belt loop. ]
The answer is no, but thank you. I would have nothing to give another person in exchange for watching my stall regardless. I'm a new recruit to this fiasco, you see.
no subject
he tilts his head like a confused puppy when Klavier corrects him. if he doesn't want a break then what could he possibly need? )
Oh. Okay. ( he's not sure he would call himself a good Samaritan for offering to just stand around for five minutes, but it's nice to know he's not the only one in the desolate city that is willing to lend a hand to a stranger. ) To the city, you mean? Yeah, it's a trip. I guess it's not too bad once you get used to it. ( weird how a place that was desperate to have everyone in the city fool around could feel so lonely, though... Peter is probably just too good at feeling lonely. )
...So what did you need, exactly? ( this german rockstar did call him over here for a reason, right? if he doesn't need a break, then what is it? )
no subject
for now, this person seems unassuming enough—and possibly a good source for some information. he raises his brows at peter's initial answer, but he's still smiling. he's glad to meet another person who seems to have experience here. ]
Achtung! So you're a resident. Lucky me. Perhaps you'll permit me a few questions about your experiences here, for my own understanding. But before then...
[ he tips his own head a little, looking almost apologetic as he nods to the sign above his head. ]
I won't lie to you. If you have the credits to spare, I would appreciate it.

Peter has been present for a few months now. it's actually astonishing to think about that way. he has never been far out of New York and now he's been here, in a decrepit sex-starved city, for months. it's weird, not entirely bad, just a little homesick. maybe a lot homesick. he just hopes Aunt May isn't desperately searching for him during his space kidnapping. )
Yeah, sure. I'll try. ( plenty of things around here did not have easy answers. Peter would still give it a shot, though — he remembers how disorienting it'd been to suddenly show up here. exactly how useful he is going to be is going to be entirely questionable when Klavier gently reminds him what kind of booth he's in.
how did he not see this one coming, truthfully. ) Oh. Oh. You mean... ( he turns a little red, though maybe it's just a spontaneous sunburn? they are on a beach. ) Right. Um. Me? Really?
( that's not exactly a refusal, but it has a very strong her? energy. )
no subject
for now, klavier's brows go up when he sees the red blooming on peter's face. oh man. no, he's been around the block enough to know a blush from a sunburn. it's cute, in a way. he lets his chin drop and he smiles towards the floor, shaking his head. thank you, michael bluth. ]
I believe there was only one person I was talking to, ja? [ he raises his head to peter again, amused. ]
But I'm not one to coerce a disinterested person into something like this. No need to worry about it.
[ disinterested or reluctant or just too embarrassed. peter's obviously had little experience with all of this, at least to him. it's like seeing a minnow in a sea of sharks. you monster ]
I have no credits to give you and precious little else to offer as payment, but if you could spare your answers to my questions, I would be grateful.
no subject
herhim? really?still, if it's just a kiss to get his dispenser working and have a few credits to his name, is it really that big a deal? probably not. a kiss is just a kiss. Peter is slightly less cagey about that sort of thing after a few months in the abandoned city. considering the place runs on Eros energy, it was probably a matter of time. )
I'm not disinterested, just... surprised. ( surprised that the guy at the kissing booth wants to kiss people?? ? ? ? that doesn't make sense. ) You look like... that, and ... I'm... ( Peter realizes there's no way to end that sentence without seeming like even more of a loser, and grimaces slightly. ) Um. I'm not fishing for compliments, I'm just not used to people coming on to me. Not that you're coming on to me, you're just... trying to get credits. I get it.
( could the sun be a LITTLE hotter? because if he could just melt into the sand and disappear from the presence of this charismatic german lawyer, that'd be great. )
no subject
I've seen this sort of behavior before, though typically from my fans. I won't lie to you—you aren't the first customer I've solicited today.
[ he gives peter a once-over, not even trying to hide it. ]
Still, it would be a waste to call for customers I wasn't interested in, ja? I'm no beggar. At the risk of sounding too forward, if you believe you aren't worthy of the attention, I would say that's quite a waste.
no subject
despite the fact he assured his company he is not fishing for compliments, he gets one anyway. Peter has never been great at compliments, except for ones so obvious they hardly need to be said. and even those are iffy. even the tamest compliment in the world, that he is worthy of attention, is enough to frazzle him. as if he wasn't already frazzled... )
I ... oh. ( what does he even say to that?? ? ? thank you would be too weird. explaining that he's more used to being flagged down to take pictures for people or share chemistry notes than genuine interest, even self serving interest, is even weirder. maybe just let it go. instead, Peter hinges on his classic desire to help others out, if he can... even if this particular method of support is a bit more out of his comfort zone. )
If it'll help you get credits, then, okay. I don't mind. ( it's just a kiss, right? not a big deal. )
no subject
klavier is still enjoying the show of this shy person trying to gracefully accept his compliment, somehow. he doesn't even thank him. klavier could remark on the rudeness, but even that feels kind of cruel.
he leans on his elbows over the counter, his eyes still on peter. he chuckles again, still obviously teasing. ]
Quite a thing to say to a stranger. You 'don't mind?' I'd hope this isn't like a chore for you.
no subject
you know what's not easier on both of them? to tease him like this, Klavier, you monster. this is like a panther playing with a blind mouse already in a trap, it's not fair any way you look at it. Peter looks genuinely mortified that he inadvertently insulted a stranger, both hands going up like Klavier is mugging him and not just gently ribbing him. )
What? No! I didn't... Look at you, you're obviously like, incredibly good looking, it wouldn't be a chore at all. I just meant... ( what did he mean? he doesn't know. he doesn't know anything anymore, Klavier. Peter presses a hand over his mouth, as if that can stop him from saying anything else horrifically embarrassing. probably not, knowing him. ) I'm... I'm really not good at this.
( clearly, Klavier does not at all suffer from the same problem. he flirts like it's second nature. Peter is out of his league over here. )
no subject
by the end of it, he laughs lightly and shakes his head. ]
Thank you for your compliments. Perhaps I took my teasing a step too far. It's difficult not to, with you, but I'll put an end to it now, before I become needlessly cruel.
[ it's tempting to reach for peter's hand and peel it from his mouth, but klavier won't be that invasive. he offers his hand to peter instead. ]
Come here. Have some confidence, Herr... I didn't quite catch your name.
no subject
Uh, confidence is not my strong suit, either. Unless we're talking science. I can confidently tell you a lot of science stuff you're never gonna need to know. ( not quite the same, but close!!! and, oh. right. a name. somehow they'd skipped that in all the kissing booth talk. ) Peter. I'm Peter.
( he does obligingly take Klavier's hand when it is offered, figuring it's for a ... handshake? probably? do germans shake hands? )
no subject
Peter then. And ah, you're a scientist. No wonder. You remind me of someone I know.
[ he'll be intentionally vague about that, since he's mostly speaking to himself. a scientist like detective skye, yet the stammering lack of self-confidence from greenhorn apollo. peter feels almost familiar.
when peter is close enough, klavier stands taller, reaching and sliding his palm behind peter's head, over the crease where it becomes his neck. klavier cranes his head forward, tilted to match his smiling mouth to peter's. ]
Klavier is my name.
no subject
( wow, this guy is a lot closer all of a sudden, isn't he? that sunburn is back in full force, or fine, yes, that's a blush. Peter has honestly never been in a situation like this one, and doesn't wholly know what to do with himself. maybe just follow along for the ride and enjoy it. he was in trouble the second this conversation started, but... definitely not a bad kind of trouble.
he doesn't fight the closeness, hell, might as well follow it. it doesn't seem fair that this guy can be hanging out on a beach and still look and smell this good. oh, and a name too. that's nice. ) Of course, ( Peter agrees, which makes no sense out of context, which is of course the hot rockstar pickup artist has a sexy name like Klavier. of course he does. ) Hi. Nice to... nice... um, can you please just kiss me already?
( put him out of his misery, Klavier. maybe once it's over he can function like a normal human being again!! (he won't) )
no subject
peter's question is either a plea to get it over with or to get what he wants. klavier almost finds it in him to tease and make him wait again, but he decides that he shouldn't. he might lose his catch. ]
Mm? You're more impatient than I thought.
[ he murmurs it before closing a slow kiss over peter's mouth, keeping him still by the back of his head. the hand over peter's slides to hold his wrist, drawing it closer. he breathes in softly, holding the kiss for a few short moments. peter seems inexperienced, and klavier can't be sure that he isn't holding his breath. ]
no subject
and if it is, then he's doing a service by demanding to get the smooching over with. Klavier gets no credits for flirting him into stunned silence, okay? it's the kiss that counts!
he's inexperienced in some respects, but kisses? not really. kissing a guy this good looking, maybe, though certainly not kissing in general. Peter can't help the slight sigh of relief of finally having it over and done with, and immediately after he returns the kiss, perhaps more eager than necessary. after this much winding him up and all that teasing, an earnest kiss seems more than fair. it's easy to lean in closer, press their mouths together a little faster. no more of this damned teasing and toying, a distinct and demanding kiss.
and then he peels back, there and gone. they're still quite close, though. Klavier has managed to wind him closer quite successfully. he's a little too dazed and staring at Klavier's mouth like he can't quite believe that happened before he asks in a rush, ) Is that good? Do you get extra points for a double tap, or something?
( he's not searching for an excuse to kiss Klavier twice. oh no. not him. he just wouldn't do that. )
no subject
klavier sinks into the feeling himself, humming softly as peter quickens their last kiss. they draw back, but klavier keeps himself close by a few inches, nose sidled beside peter's as he quietly catches his breath. he runs his fingers down the back of peter's hair, his other hand braced on top of his shoulder. he can see where peter's eyes are wandering.
he smiles at his response, murmuring: ]
Would you like to find out? ...I have a feeling that you do.
no subject
still, a bit of experience with the prospect doesn't mean it's not new and exhilarating to actually have a chance to indulge in something he doesn't often get a chance to — he's only had one girlfriend in his life but he's always been attracted to both men, and women. it's his first actual exploration of that attraction, looking it in the eye and making the choice to indulge, and of course that's thrilling in and of itself.
the fact that Klavier is, undeniably, a great kisser on top of being a master flirt and unbelievably attractive, just seems to be the cherry on top. so, his feeling is not wrong. that's a super fair guess. in fact, it's so obvious, at this point is it even really a guess?
there's only one possible answer to would you like to find out? ) Yeah, okay. ( the powerfully romantic stylings of Peter Parker, everyone. though, Klavier doesn't have to do the heavy lifting this time around, as Peter is the one that kisses him this time around. just grabbing a fistful of fancy, expensive button up shirt and pulling him close enough to plant one on him. breathless, hopeful, heated and this time around, not quite as determined to pull back to appropriate distance a few seconds after it starts. )
no subject
he leans forward again, tilting his head to meet peter's kiss and feel the gentle sting of lips against teeth. he groans softly, his hand reaching and grasping at peter's hair, keeping that mouth to his. he presses his hand to the booth's countertop to give him leverage, but he's already pressed his hips fully against it, hungry for the body behind it. he tests the waters, opening his mouth against peter's to press his tongue to the seam of his lips, begging entry.
if he wanted klavier to let this go first, he's sorely mistaken. ]
no subject
kissing is a different animal. it's instinct, it's following a feeling. it's uncomplicated and a hell of a lot easier to get lost in. talking isn't his strong suit, but eventually folding and wanting to be close to someone? well, he's better at that than he should be, considering Peter is determined to not allow himself that kind of closeness.
there's no instruction on how much of a kiss this needs to be to make it worth Klavier's while, so might as well make sure it's enough of one to count. the groan sends a delightful shiver down his spine, the idea that he managed to cause that sort of reaction in someone else. someone polished, someone confident, someone unbelievably sexy. it kinda feels good, actually. hands in his hair sure doesn't hurt, either.
there's probably only so far Peter will let a kiss go, but... turns out, an open mouth isn't the limit. he leans a little closer and in a breathless murmur, he does respond to the hint of tongue by returning the kiss with an opened mouth invitation. entry granted, and then some, if the sound of approval is any indication. )
no subject
klavier is simply enjoying the kiss for as long as peter would allow him, sinking his fingers further into his hair, drawing him as near as he can without the buffer of the stall between them. his own breath has taken on heat, a warmth curling in his lungs and stomach. peter murmurs, opens his mouth for his tongue, and the soft sound he offers him is irresistible. klavier's tongue pushes between his lips, finding peter's behind his teeth. it's messy and hot, and klavier's hand slides to hold peter's neck as he deepens it. his other hand is at peter's shoulder, though it comes down over his bicep, keeping him close.
there was no need to be shy, in his mind; peter seemed to have no intention of rejecting him for now, and klavier would keep testing to see how far peter would allow him to go. their breathless kissing ends with klavier this time, his tongue drawing back into his mouth to swallow, though he only draws back a short inch from peter's mouth. he murmurs himself: ]
I'd prefer it if we continue without the stall in our way, ja?
no subject
Klavier tastes just about as good as he looks and he knows what he's doing with that clever tongue of his. not that Peter is surprised. he'd probably have been more surprised if the guy didn't know how to kiss — all talk and no game isn't impossible, granted, but it's just something about the easy confident energy. it just makes sense he's good at this, really really good at this, good enough that the roving of his tongue and the way his demanding touch pulls closer that a guy could almost forget there's an imposing wooden stand in the way.
almost. because yeah, it is an annoying barrier between them, not that it remotely stopped them from accomplishing a kiss that surely would satisfy any robot overlord. Peter is mildly dazed and the fact Klavier didn't pull back particularly far makes it hard not to just stare at his mouth and not really pay much attention to the words. ) Yeah, ( he agrees, without actually comprehending the agreement — Klavier can tell, because the suggestion clicks slowly and once Peter Gets It he swallows heavily, but doesn't exactly take back the agreement.
maybe he should, but surely a little makeout never hurt anybody. and, god, he doesn't want to stop. maybe a little lapse in his determined distance to get some satisfaction means he can go back to being detached and he won't miss how good it feels. maybe, maybe, maybe. probably not, but look, thinking that logically and clearly? not gonna happen right now. thinking about necking with a hot blonde guy? well that kinda thinking is prevalent, and easy. the only problem is, ) Where? Like... here? ( both of them behind the stall? both of them in front of the stall? with... all these people around? probably wouldn't be that weird in the nameless city, all things considered... but that kind of overt exhibitionism might be something Peter needs to work up to. they were definitely already pushing the acceptable limits of PDA as it was. )
no subject
klavier laughs softly and shakes his head. ]
Not here. The booth can wait.
[ he's not saying it, but he won't stay here for peter's sake. he reaches for his jacket and quickly turns around the post of the stall, reaching for peter's wrist as he walks them away from the booth. close behind the row of stalls, the lean-tos provided by the robots offer privacy just well enough; if peter needs to protest, he can do so, but klavier is otherwise leading them inside of one of them. it's bare beside a cot and a chair, but he doesn't lead them too deep within it. he doesn't want to give peter the wrong impression. ]
Here. [ he lays his jacket over the nearby chair—filthy, but he can worry about that later. ] You want some privacy, ja?
SORRY FOR MY SLOW
easily done, when Klavier takes the initiative to lead them elsewhere. not far enough for Peter to get into his own head (fortunately? unfortunately? jury is out). just far enough to not be in the open eyeline of everyone wandering around the beach. it is a bit of a relief, actually, and Peter hadn't exactly articulated or even really known that he wanted privacy until they had some.
which is at least a little intimidating, because they're back to the uncertainty of what happens next. where he has too much room to say something weird, because he always says something weird. so Peter just opts not to say anything, at least not before he snakes a hand behind Klavier's neck to draw him close and kiss him again. it seems to bolster his confidence again, just to remind himself that oh yeah, is this guy a great kisser, and ducking somewhere quieter to do it more is the best idea he's had in a long time. and definitely, kissing him is way better without the stand in the way. )
You're really good at this, ( Peter mumbles breathlessly, and whether he means kissing or just being very convincing, hard to say. maybe both? honestly, both. Klavier is both. )
IT'S OK if you need to we can handwave! but please take your time
