It's simple! Many of us are missing info posts for our characters in our journal, so this one can be used or a number of alternatives I'll link below— fill this guy out as a precursor, post, and have a look around!

Her typical leanings for fashion are simple but her tastes are expensive; she goes for well-made designer brands (think Ralph Lauren) but favors things like super soft sweaters over tights/lettings, simple dresses, etc. Creams, pastels, and earth tones are her favorites and she'll rarely ever wear anything bright. Nothing complicated or uncomfortable, both for herself and those around her. SOUND Her voice gives away her age far more than her appearance does; she has a bit of an accent and has an intelligent vocabulary, but she still speaks in a relaxed manner and friendly tone, and she's prone to teasing others in good nature. Her voice drops lower when she's in danger or upset, and curls up at the ends when she's especially teasing. Also, she has THE CUTEST GIGGLE? Casual reminder as well that she had a "turn your head and cough" voice line. SCENT Bath products are honey & cream, very subtle and simple and sticking close to her skin; her perfume's just as soft and applied sparingly so it isn't overwhelming or jarring, but she does leave a bit of a warm presence. Earthy vanilla, a tiny hint of musk for depth, and some woods and cinnamon/clove. It's deep and cozy and expensive. (It's also literally just a Michael Kors seasonal perfume oops.) It's just enough to help soften the scent of nitrile gloves and disinfectant, and something you'd smell when hugging her or wrapping up in one of her blankets. MISC. GENERAL JAMES IRONWOOD AGE: ~45 (Jan 13th) HEIGHT/STATURE: 6'6" and military stick up the ass WEIGHT/BUILD: ~360lbs and well-muscled, but also half-metal GENDER: A Nice Bisexual Lad RELATIONSHIP STATUS: terminally single & DTF with mild traditional romantic buildup HAIR: black, streaked grey at the temples EYES: dark blue ORIGIN: Remnant, from the country Atlas LANGUAGE: Fantasy English, Which Is Universal I Guess VISION James shows his stress in the line of his mismatched shoulders and the straight bearing of his reinforced spine— he shows his age in fine lines about his eyes and mouth, and the grey in his hair. He is a General in all sense of the title with careful composure and a cool head. His smiles are gentle when he offers them and he shows his awkwardness in the pinch of his brows and quiet consideration of his words, but he is functionally-cut with dense muscle and broad-shouldered, and steel cybernetics comprising his entire right side from the shoulder down. His body language is about as rigid in most cases, often standing at parade rest and maintaining a neutral expression only prone to soften with those he knows. He eases to tactility given and has no visible scarring with how covered he keeps himself, but the right half of his body is cybernetic— arm, shoulder, upper torso (and possibly lower), and his whole leg, with thick claw-rend scarring around the edges of the metal where it's fused to his flesh. The origin of the injury isn't clear but the damage was clearly severe, and despite holding himself normally, his left side is acting up from the added strain it had to take up. This shows more often when he's alone or it's cold out and he's slower to move. This square's always in uniform even if he were to take someone out to dinner, but if he absolutely HAS to dress casually/comfortably, probably a high-neck sweater (collared/pullover or a turtleneck) and slacks, with equally-covering sleepwear; Atlas is a cold place and also he has all his scars and cybernetics to cover up. He's a low-cut briefs man. About the same palette with darker greys/navy/maroon/white that seem to run the norm in Atlas. He's always sharp and always polished if he has the time to spare outside of uniform. SOUND Voiced by Jason Rose, his tone of voice is genial and polite with a deeper, smoother quality that only roughens slightly if he's in a more heated situation. He chooses his words with care and is clearly more comfortable in a formal context than a casual one, well-spoken and succinct, with a weakness for wrapping up speeches. (He's working on it, don't worry.) Everyone seems to speak the same language across the different countries with regional differences in appearance and names only, so he has no real world equivalent language or dialect. SCENT Leather/sandalwood, crisp winter air, basic soap. Might dash on a subtle woody aftershave if he's going somewhere particularly nice, but otherwise he's just Clean and Neutral (and doesn't otherwise take care of himself/care about his appearance so long as it fits military standards). Those with a sharp nose would pick up on the metallic side of him and oil and grease as part of necessary maintenance on himself. MISC. James is fairly picky with what he chooses to eat if he has the luxury of choosing, otherwise he tries very hard to maintain his muscle mass and physical shape especially due to the prosthetics and their strain. Kainé AGE: technically 28, but 5 years of that were spent as a statue, so I usually say 23 HEIGHT/STATURE: 5'10" in heels, and she's always wearing them. 5'7" without. WEIGHT/BUILD: 135 or so. Very curvy, but with slim limbs and tum. She's incredibly strong, but, since that comes from Supernatural Bullshit, it's not really reflected in her build (to her chagrin). GENDER: Female, and she will shout that from the rooftops. SEX: Intersexed, largely female-presenting. RELATIONSHIP STATUS: In love with the game's protag, but she's pretty sure she's dead and he isn't, so... single, but with issues. Pansexual, theoretically leans towards men, practically leans towards anyone who can cut through her bullshit and be nice to her. HAIR: Pale silver and long, though she always has it done up in a fancy loopy deal (see image). Also, she normally wears a lunar tear in her hair... but it's probably rotted by this point, so not for the mo. EYE COLOR: Grey. ORIGIN: A dying Earth, in the year 3369. She grew up in one of the last handful of settlements - Aerie - but moved to the village outskirts/hinterlands because everyone was terrible. LANGUAGE: C...common?? It's never specified, other than "not what the desert folk speak". VISION Like a bloodthirsty Victoria's Secret model. Kainé intentionally crafted her look to emphasize anything and everything that she saw as 'proof' of her femininity. Her chest is clearly on display, her rear, her legs... it's all designed to beat you over the head with the fact that this is a woman. Her walk is the same way: slinky, sashaying, hips swaying back and forth. It's intentionally overwrought, screaming her insecurity with every step. The lunar tear in her hair is a memento of her grandmother - not the actual one, of course, but she picks fresh replacements periodically, or did. Her hairstyle, similarly, comes from her grandmother, and serves to hide just how long (and roughly-cut) it is; if and when she takes it down, it reaches past her waist. On the whole, her body's toned, but not muscular. She's very active, which cuts down on fat buildup (at least in her limbs), but her supernatural strength means that resistance training is impossible. Also, she tends to keep her left arm, left leg, and neck wrapped in bandages. At the moment, it's just a habit; back home, it was meant to conceal the fact that she was possessed by a Shade. Those limbs had once been crushed into pulp, after all, and only regrew once Tyrann possessed her; as a result, they tended to emit a sort of dark energy, particularly when she got upset. SOUND Literally what else can I say she has the voice of an angel. A gravelly, Laura Bailey-y angel. SCENT Mostly clean, but there's forever a vague smell of blood on her. MISC. She eats trash because she's a hobo queen. If you have muscles she'll do the hustle...s. She has a serious weakness for good-hearted cuties, especially if they're colossally damaged.

Matthew Murdock | MCU

Matt Murdock AGE: 32 HEIGHT/STATURE: 5'10 / Usually willing to play at bumping into things when people are watching WEIGHT/BUILD: 175lbs / Muscled/athletic/bubble butt GENDER: Male RELATIONSHIP STATUS: Single, DTF, bicurious HAIR: Brown EYES: Brown/Hazel ORIGIN: Hell's Kitchen (New York City), Earth LANGUAGE: English, Spanish, light French VISION He looks like a genial, happy-go-lucky blind lawyer. Grey suit jacket, pants, and a white shirt with a red tie. Red lensed glasses to cover eyes that don't focus. Brown hair, brown eyes, and while he doesn't have any tattoos, he is the bearer of many, many scars. He tries not to be seen shirtless anymore in his day to day life because of how bad it's gotten. He also has some very deep smile lines on the outside of his eyes when he smiles. Matt smiles with his whole face. He's very expressive and it might be in part because he can't see his own expressions. In S1, he stopped shaving so close to the skin and sports some masculine stubble, like a boss. He is otherwise hairless. When he can, he'll be attempting to upgrade his clothing to some basic sweats/jeans and tshirts he hopes to find around. It has been noted in canon that Matt has an iconic butt; one that even a red leather suit can't hide. SOUND Matt's a little growly. Low volume, gravely, but it comes out more when he's wearing a mask in an attempt to disguise his voice. Matt usually comes off as a bit glib in his responses, quick replies and a little punny. Video of him giving a 'pep talk' to a client. SCENT Because of his senses being so incredibly heightened, Matt does his best to avoid any scented products. He might smell of basic soap scent, but likely if he smells of anything, it's sweat from a workout (he'll clean himself quickly after just because of his own ability to smell himself). He will not willingly smell of any scented products on his own personage/clothing. MISC. His bingo card fluked out and accurately pinged a lot of his kinks as Matt's a bit of a pain addict who likes bossy, dangerous women. He's a sensualist by way of his abilities, so texture play and touch play is a big thing for him as well. Is something dangerous? Guaranteed to give him a boner. He's also arrived in the city with his Daredevil outfit, but it's in hiding.

LANGUAGE: English, Welsh. VISION Human form: Tall, comfortable in his own skin, and someone that uses body language as a way to speak as well as his words. He often moves in a way one could call feline, as it's his other nature and he often doesn't always catch that some of the things he's doing aren't 100% human. Hybrid: Here is a good version of what he looks like, including coloring, as in hybid and full jaguar form, he's a black jaguar. Feline: He looks much like a natural black jaguar, aside from being a little larger than his natural cousins. Lucas moves in a way that can be seen as boneless when he's not paying attention. He's usually a little scruffy in the face, and he's got a light covering of hair on his chest and leading down to his groin. SOUND He sounds Welsh with a low-pitched voice when he's in his human form. Hybrid is deeper and has more growls, trills, and purrs smattered in his words. He can and does growl/purr in human form as well. SCENT He tries to smell clean, if he smells of anything. He'll allow himself to wear something lightly scented, but he prefers not to smell at all of anything other than his own base scent. He may smell of fur and feline to anyone familiar with those scents. God forbid he ever smells of catnip. MISC. He does love his meat. He's also very fond of seafood of all varieties. (and catnip). Lys Skovgaard AGE: 19, almost 20 HEIGHT/STATURE: 6'2/187.96 cm. WEIGHT/BUILD: UNDERWEIGHT FOR HER HEIGHT; around 140 lbs/63.5 kg. Tall, long-legged and scrawny, with lean but well-defined muscles and visible ribs, spine, etc. when undressed or wearing form-fitting clothes. Noticeably lacks curves or body fat and is sensitive about this, pls no bully GENDER: Female RELATIONSHIP STATUS: Single (DTF) HAIR: Black, (technically) shoulder-length, and messy. EYES: A very bright, vivid blue that her entire immediate family shares. ORIGIN: Nørlund, Earth, during a feudal/Middle Ages era. What her country (generally) lacks in racism, sexism and homophobia, it more than makes up for in classism and dynastic politics. LANGUAGE: Nørlundic, a fantasy pseudo–Nordic language that's a terrible, stupid mix of Danish, Norwegian, and so on all rolled into one. VISION Lys has an acrobat or a gymnast's body, with long limbs and narrow hips/shoulders/waist. Her posture is usually slightly hunched or otherwise non-threatening in a subconscious effort to avoid intimidating anyone with her height. Physically expressive, she's the type to gesture a lot and betray her moods with body language; slumping when depressed, bristling when angry, etc. No scars (her healing factor erases all trace of physical trauma) or tattoos or piercings (....yet. someone please talk her into getting some). SOUND Her voice is feminine but somewhat deep and a little husky; Kathleen Turner is my current go-to example! The more emotional she gets, the huskier and rougher she sounds. She has a light accent that's something like this and which comes out more when she's upset or intoxicated. She speaks pretty informally, though not to the point of dropping gs or using a lot of slang. Tends to add a questioning modifier to her sentences, like "you know?" or "right?" to avoid sounding arrogant or authoritative. No verbal tics; can legally say "damn" or "shit", but if Lys says "fuck" then something Real has just gone down. SCENT Soap, sweat, and the outdoors; "something wild" beneath all of that, if faintly. When she can, Lys favors lilac soap/shampoos. Avoids strong perfumes/colognes because of her sensitive nose. MISC. IS A WEREWOLF and has two additional forms: pupper and scary pupper — DNI with the latter, big danger very wow. Likes oral and toys (or will once she discovers them in Erku) way, way too much. Her diet is anything she can scrounge; more than once, she's eaten bugs and dirt out of sheer desperation. Can play a hardanger fiddle with passable skill. Struggles with literacy, mathematics, and pretty much all things academic.

Summer Rose AGE: 27 HEIGHT/STATURE: 5'2". She's short. WEIGHT/BUILD: 125 lbs. Athletic, toned. GENDER: Female RELATIONSHIP STATUS: Married but trying not to think too hard about it. HAIR: Black with red highlights EYES: Silver (and magical!) ORIGIN: Remnant, presumably from Vale LANGUAGE: Magic Fantasy English apparently VISION Perky. Goth. Honestly that sums up Summer's fashion sense pretty much to a T. She's a short one, and has a tendency to look a little hunched over and like she's trying to hide in her enormous white cloak. Don't touch that by the way, it's full of knives. That said, she's warm and friendly and her standard expression is a welcoming smile, so the slouch isn't due to being standoffish, it's just kind of her natural posture. Might have something to do with all those knives weighing her down. SOUND She sounds like a mom. Relaxed, casual, gentle, but with a pronounced sense of humor and an air of confidence in pretty much everything she does. The confidence goes up and she firms up her words if she's in a situation where she needs to be commanding or defend her position on something. If she's angry, her voice drops a couple octaves and she speaks quietly but firmly in that "you-messed-up" voice any mom seems capable of summoning when their kids screw up. SCENT Literally smells like roses all the time. All the time. It's because of her Semblance and people who focus heavily on smell will probably find it at least a bit weird. There also might be the occasional baked good scent in there. But not yet in Erku. MISC. In an emergency situation, she will immediately move to take command. She's used to it, having long been the leader of a group that basically consisted of trying to herd three cats, two of whom were utter assholes. Also, will take any sad children ("children" in this case meaning anyone basically at all younger than her) under her wing and try to give them someone to come to if they need an older woman to talk with. You will be adopted. It's only a matter of time.

Jonathan Sims | The Magnus Archives

Jonathan Sims AGE: 33 HEIGHT: 5'7" BUILD: Looks very much like what one assumes a librarian would; lean, occasionally disheveled. GENDER: Male RELATIONSHIP STATUS: Significant other is back home. HAIR: Dark with premature greying EYES: Dark, but sometimes vivid, glowing green ORIGIN: London, England; Earth LANGUAGE: English; capable of understanding other languages and occasionally speaks them back VISION Jon, at first glance, is not particularly impressive. He's not that tall, he looks bookish and everything like one might expect an archivist to look like. He always wears his glasses and his style leans toward academic with button-downs and sweaters. He has been known to wear t-shirts. Some of the most notable things about Jon, however, are his scars. There are small, pockmark-like scars up the side of his neck and face, with more on his arms. There is a burn wrapped around his right hand. He has two thin scars on his throat where knives have been held. On his back are long scars across his shoulder and down his spine. Though he's only 33, Jon acts and looks older than he is. His dark hair is graying prematurely; he tends to wear it in a ponytail to keep it away from his face. SOUND Jon has a reasonably pleasant baritone that you can hear here. He speaks fairly formally with received pronunciation that denotes his education. Jon stutters when he's nervous or afraid. He's often sarcastic and condescending, especially when dealing with something that bothers him or unnerves him. SCENT Jon smells like books and soap. He used to wear a faint cologne but he hasn't had access to that since getting to this new world. MISC. Jon has an opt-in/opt-out page for his power here that everyone should check out! TL;DR, Jon can compel people to share things about themselves, especially if those things involved any supernatural trauma.

CLOUD STRIFE AGE: 21 HEIGHT/STATURE: 5'7" WEIGHT/BUILD: 150 lbs GENDER: Male RELATIONSHIP STATUS: Single HAIR: Blond EYES: Cornflower blue (with a "mako glow") ORIGIN: Nibelheim, a mountain town way out in the middle of nowhere on the planet Gaia. More recently, Midgar, a major metropolis. LANGUAGE: Gaian? IDK, dialects are a thing as Cloud encounters the names of ingredients and other words that absolutely mystify him. VISION 5'7", slender but muscular dancer's build. Blond, fair-skinned, vividly blue eyes with a "glow" (see above). Has a scar in his chest and its exit scar out the back from a stabbing injury. Some very faded scars on his knees from a childhood fall. Tends to wear this. Has pierced ears and regularly wears a silver stud in his left earlobe. Tiny beauty mark somewhere between his left eye and cheekbone. How does his hair look so spiky and so soft at the same time, idek. It takes a lot of calories to maintain himself, so that starvation diet the last four weeks is why he looks darn tired, maybe that will improve now that we have (monster) protein and comfort food Thursdays. SOUND Cloud can be really deadpan and devil-may-care one moment with a low, rough tone, but when he's surprised or flustered his voice pitches higher. Speaks casually most of the time. When he's being more mercenary-like, Cloud is usually an ass. English bc I can't resist linking this video. Gets more slangy and country boy when especially pressed. SCENT He showers daily, so.... cheap soap? Sweat when he's active because of course he sweats. If he's been working hard it might be noticeable that there's a vaguely astringent, chemically quality to it because of all the mako his body absorbed. MISC. /slaps Cloud's butt, hoo boy this guy can fit so many messy issues, he's damaged with a capital D but not a bad person. Cloud is right-handed and his blood type is AB, has an interest in machinery and can be kind of dense. He is useless in a kitchen and can't cook. Under that aloof, asshole mercenary exterior he's actually very kind. His preferred comfort food at the diner on Thursdays is a cream roux stew with starchy mountain vegetables and poultry and crusty bread. On the sexy side of things, Cloud has been reluctant about the intimacy side of being here and most of his contributions were done under the influence of aphrodisiac. Sleep-cuddler, to his embarrassment.

Even Immolzeth AGE: 23 HEIGHT/STATURE: 5'6" WEIGHT/BUILD: Squarish, on the skinny side GENDER: Man RELATIONSHIP STATUS: ~it's complicated!~ Sort of attached, but also sort of a pansexual sensualist so we'll see how that goes. HAIR: Muted red EYES: Warm brown ORIGIN: Recently of the city of Waterdeep on the world of Faerun LANGUAGE: Abyssal, Celestial, Common, Draconic, Infernal. He's a polyglot by Faerunian standards, all the good it'll do him here. VISION He arrived with exactly one outfit and that's what he's still got. A long brown travel coat with a small standing collar, over a cream button-up and brown travel pants and brown leather boots. A red-brown sash, occasionally, which he wraps around his middle or uses as a scarf. More interesting is the fact that he is an orange boy. He's got branching, slightly ridged orange horns that fade to yellow. His ears are pointed. He's got a long, smoothly tapered tail that starts fairly wide, and sports a few small nubby points where it meets his back, though his pants generally cover this. Right now, a week or so after showing up, he's growing some light, scruffy beard a shade or two darker than his hair. He looks a lot like his mother in general, which stacks, as his dad was a bog-standard human. SOUND He's got a light midding timbre, one that does not carry a lot of weight behind it, and he uses it with a great deal of tonal variance. He is prone to talking quickly when agitated and very frequently will cut himself off mid-sentence. Despite the lighter timbre and the jumpy cadence, he generally speaks with force and confidence. SCENT He smells PRETTY NORMAL ya'll, like a young dude who washes himself regularly. Except sometimes he also smells a bit like that smell when you light a match. When he's doing magic, that can intensify, especially the fire spells. MISC. He's... a nerd. But he's a nerd whose line of work has turned in the direction of monster-killing, so he's a little more practical than your average nerd. That said, if you want to get on his good side, nerd out with him. Especially about magic. Wizards, man. He has very thick black hair, which he keeps styled into soft spikes (it takes 1 hour). His fringe is slightly longer on the right, for that extra emo edge. The silver streaks in his hair are pretty much the only evidence he shows of aging, because he is fantasy Asian of some kind and therefore genetically blessed in that department. He maintains a very carefully styled 5o'clock shadow which makes him look like he just rolled out of bed at all times. His current clothing get-up is a mix of very muted greys, browns, and dark red. He wears a lot of crosses and jewelry, because he has an aesthetic. His posture is typically nonchalant and very informal. He has a very deep slouch, especially when he is anxious or deep in thought, which often makes him appear shorter than he really is. He can get very sassy and smirky, with hands on hips and a bit of flair to his movements, but you're just as likely to find him quiet, tense, and broody. He has a temper that comes on easily but never lasts long, and especially since he's quit drinking his typically abrasive attitude has gentled quite a bit. He fights, hilariously, like an acrobat. He uses the entire weight of his body as a counterbalance to his massive scythe/sword, and he is very nimble and flexible, capable of long strides and mid-air movements that would put a gymnast to shame. Despite his colossal weapon (ladies.), he has noodle arms because in RWBY actual muscle has no correlation to physical strength lol jokes. SOUND link / new VA. Deep and gruff, with a lazy drawl. Often biting and sarcastic in tone. Since changing VAs going sober, he has acquired the miraculous ability to inflect his speech with emotion! What amazing character development! SCENT Forest, leather, and steel. Spicy, woodsy aftershave. MISC. He is literally a bad luck charm to both himself and anyone who gets close to him, and he has a lot of issues about that RIP. Despite acting like a grouchy, sarcastic old man who just wants to push everyone away and be left alone, Qrow is really desperate for validation and easily falls for people who show him even a shred of kindness and understanding. He also adores his nieces, one of whom is here. Hi Yang! Oh yeah, he also turns into a bird.

ORIGIN: the world of Remnant from the tiny rural island of Patch LANGUAGE: let's just say common VISION yang has a very large personality and tends to be one of the loudest, most cheerful people in the room. she's quick to smile and laugh and is an animated talker. she moves around a lot when she speaks, uses a lot of hand gestures, that kind of thing. most of her clothes have brown, orange, and gold elements, and in true gay fashion disaster style, uses bandanas as accessories. the bandana around her neck is orange while the one wrapped around her left leg is purple. right arm is gone from the elbow down. it's been replaced by a removable prosthetic that she's painted yellow and black. there are some nasty scars on her bicep from where she was...disarmed. no piercings or tattoos, but never say never. SOUND she tends to be very casual in her every day speech. yang, unfortunately, loves puns and dad humor so she will commit at least one humor crime in any given conversation. she also tries her best not to use profanity and will substitute the harder curse words for fruit, instead ("oh, grapes!", "coconuts!"). here's an example of what she sounds like. SCENT floral-y due to the massive amount of shampoo and hair care products she uses. MISC. - her body temperature runs high because of her semblance. she's basically a space heater. good for cuddling with during the winter. - yang eats a lot in the course of a day. she burns (haha get it) calories faster due to her semblance so she usually has about 4 or 5 square meals. maybe a midnight snack. - the mom friend. - can ride a motorcycle. used to own one named bumblebee but it recently lost its life in the call of duty. SOUND felix is so weird... he'll give you these short, clipped sentences, then unthinkingly throw in a five dollar word because he is, in fact, a noble lad with a noble's education. i mean, who uses the word "bombastic" in casual conversation? fuckin' felix. generally speaking, though: felix's tone is brusque. borderline rude, really. sometimes it's laced with a sarcastic edge, because if he believes that you are a fool, he won't hesitate to treat you as such. anyway, here is felix being dumb with sylvain, please enjoy. She's very softspoken a lot of the time, rarely raising her voice if only because she simply can't do it all too well (without coughing, getting embarrassed, etc). Lottie doesn't have a canon voice, but I imagine she sounds a lot like Helen from Bridesmaids. As far as the way she speaks, it can be separated into two categories: If she doesn't know you chances are you'll get fashion blogger Lottie Person - someone who is nice, kind, cool and quirky without even trying. The definition of effortless. Dedicated to the grind and agreeable no matter the circumstance. Overall a very performative type of presence. If she does know you, or you just managed to catch her at a particularly charged moment, you'll get the real Lottie Person - a brat by the very definition, argumentative, petty, rude, self-centered and selfish all around. Vulgar, at times mean and inconsiderate, more likely to cuss and speak a lot of modern vernacular (fuckboy, deets, tea, things like that).
