This time, because she has never visited the boathouse before herself, she is curious enough to treat them more as an escort than a nuisance or an enemy. The pace is slow and easy, something she has no doubt is meant to provide her and the person with her a chance to get to know each other a bit. Since the landscape is so new to her and it is quite pretty with autumn foliage and the water dappled with orange leaves, she is content not to pursue conversation at first. Eventually, however, she muses aloud as she nudges aside a long trailing branch: ]
How deep do you think the water runs?
[ She has only recently learned how to swim and while she believes she could handle herself easily here if something happened to the boat she hasn't had an opportunity to practice in about two months now. ]

[ Edelgard had not thought to join in wreath-making but the urge to indulge her artistic tendencies proved too strong. After half an hour of weaving together a wreath of red flowers accented with golden leaves and dark feathers, she realizes she feels more relaxed than she has in quite some time.
Definitely more relaxed than she has been since those weeks of unsettling dreams about the sea led to the attack on the island.
So relaxed, in fact, that when someone sits beside her she can't help the way her body slants toward theirs like a flower toward the sun. Her shoulder makes contact, then her side. ]
I am certain that this is yet another island influence.
[ She offers it like it's an apology but does she have the willpower to deny herself this comfort?
