Though the physical sensations of his reality remain, screams that aren't his echo in his ears and he doesn't see the room any longer; strange scenes as afterimages like negatives of photographs, places he's never seen except maybe a similar alley, and the weird visuals of computer screens like the technology he's only known from the island. The latter images make no sense to him at first, objects moving too fast to discern them apart from the person they're assaulting. Noiz's voice, he recognises, but it's different, coming from somewhere else... like inside Akira's head. The image moves to a child, unknown to him, then a sharp inverse of colouring and he sees himself in Noiz's apartment, hears himself scream from someone else's perspective. There's no transition and he's suddenly starkly aware of his surroundings again, looking down at Noiz and it's clear he's reacting negatively to something, likely what Akira had just seen too.
