Felix may not remember anything about his true life, and he may have fallen under Seteth's thrall, but if there's one thing that never changes about Felix, it's his devotion. To his beliefs, and to people he judges worthy. Nothing short of death could pry him from the teacher's side now, even if he has to drag himself onto land to follow.

As Seteth ascends toward the surface, Felix keeps pace easily. There's no practical need to keep one hand pressed to the dragon's scales as they swim; Felix is sure he could outpace Seteth in the water. But he does it anyway. He craves the teacher's touch in any way he can get it. Perhaps he can persuade Seteth to...oh, that's something he can't even fully think to himself without blushing. But the dragon said be mine, and he wants to be...

But would Seteth find these desires distasteful, or ridiculous? Would he turn Felix away if he knew about them? Best to keep them to himself, at least until he can quell them somehow.

They rise through the water until they break the surface. The light makes Felix's scales glitter and warms his complexion somewhat, but it also makes him squint for a few minutes until his eyes adjust.

"What now?"
