"Ah, but that reminds me. This technology is something that I feel would strongly benefit all of Fódlan, if only we could replicate it there."

He stepped to a cabinet and brought down a glass, then held it beneath the tap in front of her and turned on the faucet. "By turning the handle in one direction or another, I can get cold water or hot water. There is no magic necessary. There are simply pipes running the water throughout the building, and when water needs to be heated, it is stored in a tank for that purpose. It is quite clever, really, and it makes bathing much more convenient."

Leave it to Ferdinand von Aegir to get distracted from his pervasive thoughts by discussing the merits of indoor plumbing.
