Hard as he tries, he can't stop his eyebrows from knitting together at Felix's comment, the corners of his lips taking on a downwards slope.

And isn't that quite the recurring theme with him-- with them, more than anyone else? With such a history of sin upon his shoulders, Dimitri is no stranger to these feelings of inadequacy; he knows he's not what people need, not as a friend, a king, or even as the one to relay the news of this strange reality they have found themselves in, but right now, he is all Felix got. All he can do is to keep doing his best.

So he eyes the spot beside Felix before he joins him, taking notice of the bottle of lotion laying untouched just further in the back-- and while odds are that the contents of the bottle are likely another means to encourage intimacy between the new arrivals, he grabs hold of it anyway, figuring it was at least worth reading the instructions on the label.

It's something of an excuse, too; gives him something for his eyes to focus on as his mind scrambles for words and a place to start.
