Washing up on a strange, unknown island with no memory of how one had gotten there? Why, that was something that happened to other, more adventurous people. Not Ienzo. He'd been in bed - or, passed out in the cot he had in his lab at Radient Garden. Regardless. It's very strange, isn't it? Ienzo pulled out his Gummiphone - his personal one was equipped with a few sensors to gather data - and began to monitor for Darkness.
A robot was trying to get his attention, and he murmured, politely, "One moment."
More robots gently tugging on his arms. "I'll be with you momentarily."
This was, of course, how Ienzo was lifted and carried off to the spa, clothes and equipment stripped, dunked unceremoniously into the public bath. He'd be quite the sight to see, long bangs now bedraggled and dripping in front of his face.
Or he might be spotted wandering around in a towel later looking for his clothes - distracted just for a moment by the murals. His eyes were a little wide. "Ah ... so, that's, well ... interesting."
I. Hay Fever
When in doubt, do as the locals did. Which included grabbing a haycart and heading toward the fairgrounds, apparently. Ienzo could think of no better place to figure out more information from the people around here. Where else might they gather, but the fair?
He noticed the flashing, and poked absently at his device, a thoughtful expression on his face. So, were these requests, usually ... influenced by the environment? Lost in thought he wouldn't really notice or mind someone else hopping onto the cart to head to the fair.
II. Acute Beef Poisoning
It seemed too warm and sticky out to go for meat pie, if you asked Ienzo. He wanted something a lot more refreshing - why not blueberry? Of course, it didn't escape his notice that the food here might be tampered with, but. The best way to get effective data was to get the information yourself.
The blue clashed terribly with his hair, in fact.
It did make him believe the pies were mostly harmless pranks, so when he wandered around with a strawberry pie later - it's without any apprehension on his part. It seemed that most of the incentives were on that stage, anyway, for a - ahem - sausage-swallowing contest. So far there didn't seem to be any takers. Ienzo needed more data about this place, but he still felt ... grateful. He still wanted to ask around to find out more about the island.
III. Library
The fair was likely a bad idea - Ienzo retreated back to his comfort zone, finding the island's library. As soon as he stepped inside, he sighed in relief, looking ... more at home. And like the weight of what'd happened so far that day fell off his shoulders.

Time to get to work.
