Krem turned at Chris's voice and smiled. It was as easy and kind as ever, no hint that there might be anything amiss. He made a slightly disgruntled noise at being jostled a little bit, which might have been chalked up to the way that Chris's clap on the shoulder rattled him after the amount he'd eaten.

"Stuffed," he said with a laugh. And then, in exactly the next beat, he said, "Not the kind of stuffed I'd like to be right now, either."

It came out so casually that it didn't even seem to register. He looked around, up at Chris, and jostled him with his elbow. "Are you coming along? Or do I have to entertain myself?"
