Well, Mingjue definitely thinks A-Yao's response is entirely genuine and not at all like he's talking about himself when he speaks about feelings. But since A-Yao seems (hrmmmm) to come out of it at Xichen's beckoning, Mingjue doesn't comment, only reaches out in tandem with Xichen to try and catch hold of him. An arm or a shoulder, anything will do in the attempt to tug him close. Mingjue's lap was perhaps not quite big enough for two, but A-Yao had a slighter frame, so maybe...
