Alright, perhaps he had deserved that. He knew that Huaisang had many years of unfiltered resentment to deal with. He wasn't even that mad about his own death really. He was sad the A-Su had to have been a casualty though, and the loss of his mother's bones. He wondered if that could be something he could request the Auger for. She deserved better than that.

He shrugged it off.

"So I was. Now I'm not. I would like to stay this way if I can help it."

In a way, it was good to see this. Huaisang's true face, the face of the man that had killed him, that he had orphaned. It felt as if he looked in a mirror. He met his gaze, gold eyes unwavering. Now that that was done they can be honest.

It took so much effort to lie. It was a relief.

"I'm aware. And yes. He was kind enough to offer me residency as long as I can help with the care of it. You may notice a few acres have been added to the west side, however. There are still a great many things that may be in need of repair. However, I imagine we can speak of that later."
