[With horns, ashy grey skin, and slitted, orange eyes, it's impossible to mistake Oran for human. The tiefling had lost track of time so, when he sees one or two people coughing and crawling out of the waves, he realizes his walk along the beach is going to be more complicated than he hoped it would.
For once, he retreats to the grass-line to try to stay out of the way of the would-be questioners. He doesn't have it in him today to be chipper and comfortable and willing to answer any and all uncomfortable questions...
But he is also one of the only non-robot creatures here right now, and he's not very good at hiding. It's inevitable, then, that someone would find him.
He's never seen the amount of armor that Carolina's wearing on such a small scale. Giant robots or... or mobile suits? Yes. The Augur's foolish constructs? Arguably, yes, but none with such clever articulation or human-like movement. The aqua-coloured creature is still dripping with sea-water, so it's easy to make assumptions and Oran can, at least, roll with the punches.]
The city doesn't really have a name, but sometimes the Augur mentions this whole place as 'Erku'.
[He rolls his oddly pauldron'd shoulder, his own armor built into his skin.]
What are you?
[He doesn't get to ask that very often. It's humans all the way down, here, or mostly so. Usually he's extremely careful not to bring up a question like that given his own proximity to something monstrous, but he's not feeling the extra layer of care today.]
