Zelda had never found herself at such an ineloquent loss for words. Speechless yes, but something like that?
She hadn't actually been able to take even one step in the opposite direction of Jaune, as much as she had said and wanted to. So yes, she was still there, staring, noticing more than she should even know about in the first place; considering how sheltered she had been before arriving here.
Even her own daydreams hadn't been this vivid... ever! Okay, well possibly once or twice, she wasn't completely without imagination.
Still, this was not the time nor place! Or was it...?
No. No, no no no NO! She shook her head, trying to take rip herself from those thoughts, and was finally able to tear her eyes away from Jaune's groin to at least look at his face. On which it plainly written that he, too, was somehow in the same sort of trance. That was embarrassing in it's own way... and a little flattering, even if she was aware that it was most likely only due to the effects of the spell.
Well, they couldn't just stand here gawking at one another the whole night. Zelda knew that much. Once she had fallen for one or another of the Augur's tricks, the effects would only get stronger until... until...
Until she found some sort of release...
Zelda swallowed hard. Hoo boy, what a welcome indeed!
"Jaune..." she finally managed to find her words, even it it was still barely louder than a whisper. "I am so... so.... sorry. I... I had no idea that a simple star viewing would end up like... Well, like this. This is very much so, more than just the food."
That, honestly wasn't helping any either though, her own body was already reacting in the somewhat familiar, well at least no longer puzzling ways, that had only been discovered since finding herself in this place.
Not that it had been all bad.
She cleared her throat again before speaking, barely managing to keep her voice from cracking.
"Given... this place, is not normal by any standards. There may be things we must do to lift the spell.
Oh come now, Zelda. she told herself There is no point in beating around the bush any longer! He's going to find out sooner rather than later.
She took a breath and tried to put it as delicately, and objectively as she could... and failed miserably
"We will have to have sex." she blurted out plainly, "Possibly, even fulfill one of the requirements detailed on the card that the Augur gave you."
She nodded to the bracelet on her wrist and then at his, but realized she should probably say something else too.
"Not that I wouldn't mind doing anything with you... you're quite attractive. I admit, I had thought that even before the effects of... whatever they have done to us. And you have proven yourself more than nice." she sighed for more reasons than the fact that he would be introduced to this whole deal, barely after washing ashore. It was also the issue of her own self worth that had been all too common in her world, only it had manifested in different ways here.
"I apologize that your introduction to the predicament that we are all bound to here, has to be so soon... and that your first experience with the matter has to be with one such as myself."
Zelda had no idea of the extent of his experience, which is why she worded it the way she did, but if it was true that he had none, just as she had upon arriving, her guilt would only increase.
"I can only offer you the advice that someone else gave me. Do not think of it as simply 'crossing off a square on the card.' she smiled shyly with the admission, because it had been all too true. "It helps to... and I speak from experience, to form a personal connection with the one you are with, a bond so have you, and to allow for things to progress naturally. And it will work out in the end."
At least that was what she hoped, she still couldn't manage to shove that voice of self-doubt away, no matter how hard she tried.
