dragon matchmaking

[The last pets Diana had were the cats she accidentally adopted while in Duplicity. She isn't even sure if she really adopted them; she sort of just... took them home when she wasn't quite herself, and didn't have the heart to give them away once she regained her senses. But their cohabitation had been short-lived, considering she'd ended up here just a few weeks later, and it hasn't occurred to her to find another pet--until now.

She returns from her patrol of the settlement to find what looks like a fat little dragon pressing its short snout against the window of her house. Diana's brows raise with surprise, but amusement soon colors her face as she watches it scrape its tiny claws against the glass. Not sensing any malicious intent from it, she clicks her tongue at the little thing to get its attention.]

Do you need something, little one?

[It whips around and chirps at her, and Diana's heart positively melts. Its scales shimmer a dark red as it flaps over and settles on her shoulder, nestling under the curtain of her hair. With a chuckle, she reaches up to give it a little scratch on its belly and is about to go about her day when she feels a tugging on her other shoulder.

She is not at all surprised to see a second dragon, this one gold--what does catch her off guard is that it also seems to have attached itself to a person. Well, currently it's attached to her, but she thinks it's trying to pull her towards him. As if on cue, the little beast on her shoulder shoots out, wings flapping for all it's worth, and copies its kin, pulling on the man's shoulder.

She can't help it: she laughs. A grin blooms over her lips as she reaches to retrieve her own small friend.]

It's alright, I don't think they mean any harm.
