Keiichi was used to hanging out with girls, what with being the only boy close to his age in his entire village. And he's always done pretty well talking to people of all ages, from the younger kids in his school to the village elders. But having his hair ruffled by someone he'd just met did surprise him, and his eyes went wide, cheeks turning just a little bit red.
Just a little bit, though. Once the surprise wore off, he laughed gently, rubbing the back of his head in an effort to play it off like it was nothing.
"H-hahaha, yeah, they're pretty dumb," he remarked, watching as she picked up a piece of driftwood and approached some of the crabs. Worst case, he was sure she could just swat the crabs into the bucket without damaging them.
