the guy she ends up asking to dance moves a little awkwardly, like he's never been dancing before (at least not in a setting like this, she's had enough formal dance lessons to recognize the technique) and she laughs a little before guiding his hands to her waist, letting the music guide them instead of focusing on the steps. they continue like that for a while, and she'd be happy to keep going, but he starts moving away from the crowd a bit, enough for her to recognize he needs a break. she doesn't mind, she could use one, too.
she lets him find a spot on the sand or driftwood benches or wherever and goes back to the bar, asking for a couple of whatever and some water. she receives a couple of ridiculous frozen drinks and two bottles of water, the latter of which get tucked under her arm as she double fists the other two glasses and makes her way back over to ben. ]
