The faint making of a smile forms onto Lan Wangji's lips but it doesn't linger for long. He soon turns his attention to the crab tugging at his robes. Lan Wangji stares at it briefly before kneeling down to pick it up. He gently places the ornery crustacean on a nearby stone so it could fuss to its content. While the crabs aren't as adorable as the little rabbits he's accustomed to, they're charming nonetheless.

At the news of Nie Huaisang and Jiang Wanyin, Lan Wangji cannot help but frown. It's not that he disapproved of them but rather he's surprised to hear they've been trapped here as well. He can't help but think there's foul play involved if both the leader of the Qinghe Nie and the Yunmeng Jiang Sects are present. That along with his brother just sounds very suspicious to Lan Wangji. Too suspicious.
